Sex
per se does not increase a woman's risk of cervical cancer. However, infection with certain types of Human Papilloma Virus (aka. HPV, aka. genital warts on the cervix) does increase the risk of cervical cancer. That's one of the things a physician looks for when doing a routine pap smear.
How does one get HPV? Sexual intercourse from an infected partner. But it's not caused by "the act" of intercourse. And HPV can be acquired through one unlucky encounter in the distant past - while a person can have a more "adventurous" history but not have it at all.
And ovarian cancer has, as far as I'm aware, nothing to do with sexual intercourse.
