I will spell it out:

1) In a "Kerry" thread, you tell someone that their comments are unwelcome, that there is a "Bush" thread somewhere else and they should post their comments there.

2) In a "Bush" thread, you pull the same stunt as the person you criticized.

3) I am pointing out the blatent and outright hypocrisy.

I don't think you should be told that your comments are unwelcome and to go somewhere else.

On the other hand, don't go around telling people their comments are unwelcome and act the same way as the person you are criticizing.

It seems pretty likely that Bush will take it and I feel sick. Four years from now we'll all be ruing this day when the fate of the world was sealed. His 8 years in power will stand as an example of everything that is wrong with the US political and social structure.

The comment was like "His followers blindly believe what they are told." Sounds like Bush to me! If anything, it's making a very interesting point that's not flattering to one side or the others.

The thread was about how you would feel if Bush was elected, I made another post saying that I think this country gets what it deserves if this is what people choose. Responses like yours aren't uncommon, and they are very annoying. You take something that someone says and you morph it into something it's not.

I'm not a fan of Bush and feel that his unbalanced position especially regarding foreign policy in the middle east has set America back 20 years. However, if he can accomplish peaceful democracy in Iraq, institute a sovereign Palestinian state and have tactful,diplomatic and respectful working dialogues in that area with all countries, he can redeem himself for the previous 4 years. If he continues down the same road, he will set America back 50 years at a staggering cost to the economy as well as a negative world opinion never seen before.

I voted against Bush, not for Kerry, even though there was a check next to his name. But part of me does revel in the snivling of hippies, it's just a natural reaction to the disgust I have for them.

I don't want more death, destruction, jobs lost, etc... and I let my voice be heard on that matter, but I don't want a hippy agenda any more than I want Bush in office.

A part of me would be evily grinning no matter who won, whether it was directed towards christian fundies or hippy crackpots.

I just hope everyone who said they would leave are packing their bags. I won't hold my breath though.

You better think again. A certain sports-related riot happened recently. Hell, I'd almost be disgusted if nobody rioted at all in the wake of the election. What does it tell you if people in a nation will riot over something as mindless as entertainment but not over who gets to be the figurehead of the entire country? I'll post my disclaimer: I do not officially condone or support any rioting that results in damage to my own property.
