It seems to me that everyone is pretty firmly entrenched in their decision right now, and the debates (especially tonight's) isn't really going to sway anyone one way or the other.

NO. The more that comes out the more I am scared of another 4 years of Bush. I think if elected he won't last 4 years. BUT I truly believe things would get 10x's worse with Cheney as President.
As bad as it sounds, perhaps Bush runs with Cheney because that's his insurance against being taken down. NOONE in their right mind wants Cheney as President. And just to clarify: While I maybe strongly opposed to Bush I truly like Kerry and Edwards I think will make a wonderful leader.

Same here, the only reason I will really be watching the debates at this point is to see if Bush can dig himself into a bigger hole. I have high expectations for him to do that in what is supposed to be the weakest areas for him.

Obviously they could say things that would be policy changes that could change my mind. But it's not like Bush is going to say he's changed his mind, now he is pro-life (or something like that). There is a lot better chance Kerry may change tunes on any of the issues. But what it really comes down to is that I'm not voting for the better debater. I'm voting on the issues. And their respective websites show you exactly where they stand.
I'm hoping for 4 more years. |

The presidential debates are a complete waste of time. Both candidates have failed in the first two debates to address the issues. Instead every question comes back to the same Kerry is a flip-flopper discussion. I watched the third party and vice presidential debates. Those actucally addressed some issues in this country. At least people saw because of John Edwards, not john kerry, that Bush favors outsourcing jobs, a damn critical issue in todays economy

If John Kerry dropped dead, that would be the only way I wouldn't vote for him.
Then I STILL wouldn't vote for Bush.

I do think the debates can help some undecideds make up their minds. I know quite a few people down here in Tejas, where it is basically a sin to utter kerry, who have families extremely Republican, but they have a little more common sense to think for themselves, and the fact that Bush came across as an arrogant, ignorant and unstable individual has swayed their vote...they wont tell their parents though! Shoot look at the polls since the first debate.

What a bunch of shit. You need to stop getting your information about the issues from bumper stickers and do some real research into why Bush is conducting the war in the wrong way by going after the wrong people! |
