i thought the actual presentation was trite and manipulative. i mean seriously, what is the point? no context is given for any of the pictures. with few exceptions, the viewer has no idea who or what was going on in any of them.

if you hate bush, i'm sure this is somewhat moving/entertaining because it feeds your pre-exisiting notions. just don't confuse reinforcement of an ideology with anything more cerebral, logical, or propositional.

oh, i must say though... the music did have its charm.

I'm not a fan of Bush, but even I thought that video was unnecessary and over the top.

I'm sure you would've seen the same type of images during Clinton's campaign in Kosovo. No one said war is pretty!

Love the choice of music, too, hehe. It reminds me of that video that someone made after 9/11, the guy sitting in front of the computer screen with the headphones listening to Sarah McLachlan or Enya, and crying his eyes out as he watched the WTC fall. Not that the event was funny, but... that the guy tried to look all intellectual and caring, kinda overdone and cheesy. Laugh and a half that was.

I agree w/ irateplatypus.. very manipulative and lacking. Kinda just a "song and some images with 'Bush is bad' message."

Yes, war is horrible. No one ever denied that.

But those images prove to me why we should be there.

How about throwing pictures of Saddams torture rooms, how about his mass graves, his favorite acid baths.... Yes war is horrible, but IMO the worst thing we could do to the Iraqis was to leave them to that horrible beast.

I really got a good laugh out of the photo of Gore and the heading under it saying president-in-exile. (still lmao).

You want powerful? How about a picture of the Atlantic Ocean turned red from the amount of blood in it? How about pictures from the holocaust? These are child's play in compairison.

I have respect for the people who fought and died for something. I hold absolutely zero respect for some loser sitting at home, plucking pictures off the internet, putting them all together, and posting some worthless political message in a flash.

This is what happens in war.

Speaking of which, how come it never shows any pictures of the WTC? Or Saddam's mass graves?

If I knew how to make a flash movie I'd be moved to make one right now. I'd show pictures of the WTC and Pentagon being rammed by the airplanes. I'd show Saddam and his terror across Iraq, then I'd finish off with the people in Iraq celebrating in Iraq, greeting us with open arms when we rolled into Baghdad. Would you rather have a president that responds, or a president that does nothing?

How about a president who thinks?

I still have not heard a good reason why we are actually there. I fully supported this war when we had a reason, now that reason has been shown false.

I am heading back to that quagmire for the second time this fall, and I would feel much better about if anyone could convince me that what we are doing there has any merit what-so-ever.

EDIT - I wrote this under the assumtion that the original poster wanted to inspire debate regarding the president. If that was not the case, please disregard.

People need to learn from the fucking Wayside board. Use the god damn back button if you don't have anything useful to say.
