here are a couple of low light concert shots i took at a Ozomatli show on August 14th.
Canon 10D with a 50mm f1.4 lens   i got a photographers pass for the concert and was allowed to shoot for the first song only... |

Whoa, nice shots! You must have been pretty close to the band to pull that off with a 50mm (unless these are crops)!

the top pic was tough because i metered off of his skin tone which kinda blew out the highlights in his white shirt. ugh. anyways.. they were done with my little 50 lens and i was at the base of the stage about 6-10ft from them most of the time. i often found my self having to take a couple of steps backwards so that i could get them in the frame... i need to see who else is coming to town soon so that i can try to get another pass and get more experience. i would love to shoot concerts as a side gig... |
