Wrightsville! Nice... I was just there last weekend myself. Gorgeous weather right now and lots of great places to eat...
Nice shots! Edited to ask: What side is that on? I stay near the Oceanic, and wherever you are at looks less crowded... c_b

Must have been a lot of wind to hold that thing in the air.

To answer some of your questions. There is so much luck when taking the picture. You have a general idea of what you are taking but not exactly.
Crash landing pics, not yet. And I hope never. I have other locations. I will post them soon The rig is homemade. I am not sure of anywhere that sells them

Great idea! If anyone has any interest in this, I would suggest going to ebay and looking for a cheap second hand airplane remote that comes with servos. Those airplane remotes are used for everything now hehe.
If you tinker with it for a while you'll see the servos are programmable (if you got a good remote), and you can set how much they go down and what stick or button controls them. Then all you need to do is mount any camera to a rig like he made, and put the servos in a way that the servo arms (if you dont know what those are you would see when you got some) hit the buttons when you press the coresponding button on the remote. It really shouldnt be that hard. I just cant imagine getting that heavy thing in the sky. |
