I like the first picture. That modern road kind of detracts from the second, though.

Nice photos. I like the first for a rather personal reason. My great aunt, a rather accomplished artist, traveled to that mill and did an oil painting of almost that exact same view. In her painting, the building was a weathered red color. Maybe she took "artistic license" with the color. This was many years ago. Perhaps you know, was the building painted red long ago? As memory serves she did the painting as a commission but somehow the family ended up with it. With your permission, I would like to save that photo and use as a desktop and show it to some family members. Alas, my great aunt has long since passed. Keep up the good work. dan ![]() |
