I've been steeping in the reflective a lot recently.

I like my job, and have for years. But it's also kinda cool when any day you can get visited by people who are genuinely interested in the work you're doing. Guys like, oh, I dunno... Rancid?

Apparently, trying to click on an entertainment news story can rip a hole in the fabric of space and time.

*Bump*
Peru Ana Ana Peru. These guys are awesome. Their artistic exploits seem to stem from a strange desire to prove that everything - street art and modern cinema especially - sucks entirely and is long overdue for a change. As self-appointed saviors, they've stepped up to the plate with such reckless ferocity that you can't help but to wonder as to whether they enjoy being arrested or are in desperate need of being saved from themselves. Whatever the case, these guys seem deathly intent on mindfucking whomever stumbles across their work. My heroes. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3083/...b424f0bb4d.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3153/...b73be02224.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3120/...63f80fea0c.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3250/...d6d32c2f6c.jpg |
How to find my passion by ataralas
"I will always be a storyteller."
How I did it: Ever since I was small, I loved to tell stories. When I learned to talk, I would do puppet shows. No one was ever really sure what they were about, actually, but I would entertain myself for hours. In kindergarten I would write and draw stories. Of course, my handwriting was so bad no one could tell what I was saying. In third grade I created vivid imaginary worlds with my sister, where Aslan and Laura Ingalls Wilder and Darth Vader existed side by side. When I was in fifth grade, I remember deciding to become a writer. Even back then I remember the sense of-- portent?-- about it. I knew that this was going to be a decision that would affect the rest of my life. And I haven't changed my mind since then. --from: ataralas |

the weirdest thing happened as I was using flickr search this afternoon at 2:00; one minute it was the familiar search layout I've been accustomed to for the past two years, then 90 seconds later, they rolled out some new layout design that seems to want hide the buttons I've grown accustomed to for no apparent reason. What was once a streamlined photo roll, a minute later now sets up as a landscape of little thumbnails.
It really shook my senses of habit. Ah, whatever. Here's a pic from my photobucket. http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z...nowyStatue.jpg |
and it would seem flickr is keeping the layout for the foreseeable future... (sigh)
to divert, yet tie into to the photo above, a pic from my "picfor.me"... "Lounging Snow Bonnie" http://picfor.me/img/2009/06/16/b8ca...f_original.jpg |
This is just a duo shot of some mysterious "Violet" in what I am guessing is a restaurant shop (bakery, maybe?). I ripped it from flickr I think about 2-3 years ago, but I can't find the original uploader's stream for the life of me.
I tried "tineye" as well, but of course there were no results to display. It'd help ease my mind to give this tease shot some accreditation, but for now, it remains a romance of the unknown. http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/attachm...1&d=1246317266 http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/attachm...1&d=1246317365 |
