TFP Communi-Blog!
Ok folks, here it is. This is where we as a community can do a little bit to become more engaged in each other's lives. This will be our own little blog section of the world. While this will not take away from the threads that already exist in this same sense (World Through My Phone, Pic A Day threads), it is in the similar vein. This is where we can all post a picture a day (at least one) in order to see what we as a community deal with on a daily basis. The outline for this thread is as follows.
First ---- it doesn't necessarily have to be a picture you. It can be anything interesting that you came across that day. Same TFP rules apply.. no kids or sick shit. While it is nice to see pictures of actual people and it is encouraged, this will allow us to post things we find on the internet or around town that really speak to how we feel that day. So you can post that funny sign down the road in your town or you can post yourself in your work environment or whatever. Just keep it smart.. and keep it within the rules. Second --- try to post at least one picture each day. This will ensure that we keep a daily photo blog and our community can grow daily. Naturally this will create one big ass thread, but.. seriously, who gives a fuck how big it is? Third --- keep photo sizes reasonable. While we all have monitors the size of a small bedroom, there's no reason to fill the whole screen with one shot. If you have several shots, use a thumbnail set and hotlink to the bigger pictures. Fourth --- this isn't for exhibition. Those pictures still go to the designated forum. Fifth --- Comment and give constructive criticism if and only if the poster wants it. That would mean use some sort of actual lingo and skill instead of .. "That pic sucks.. you should practice more". So let's open up a bit and see how interesting.. or in my case.. how boring our lives as a community are! My contribution for today.. signs.jpg |

Reminds me of the old joke with the "the meaning of life is pussy, now get the fuck off my mountain!" punchline. Here's shot I took a couple days before Christmas while out walking my dogs-

I've come up with a stock answer of "you should see the size of my luggage!"

Borrowing a technique from roachboy...
I did a google image search for the word neutral and this is what I came up with...it just fits best. Today, I feel neutral...or, perhaps it's just too early for a point of view. But I kind of like it.

This photo was probably taken in the early 20th, if not 19th century... of a traditional Icelandic house in the western area of Reykjavík (Vesturbćr), which is the semi-suburban neighborhood where ktspktsp and I currently live. I am probably related to the woman in the photo, in one way or another. So here I am, sitting at home, watching the snow fall outside the window of our own 70 year old apartment. The only credit I can find on the website is for a guy named Gísli Ólafur.
