Tilted Dreamers
There was a thread by this name before, I think in Members Playground. I think we should try to get this back up again.
Please share your dreams, interesting or otherwise. Even if you think it was a boring dream, you never know what someone else might think of it. I'd also like to see more about lucid dreaming again. If the people who posted those links last time could be so kind as to put them back, it would be greatly appreciated. Is this a dream? |

Oh boy! I have lots of dreams I can share... but I'll pick one of the weirder ones from my memory bank. You guys will seriously think I'm nuts after this one. It's a doozy..
In this dream, I was searching for a new roomate. Apparently, I needed someone to share my bedroom with (Don't ask me, hehe). I had several people come over and I "interviewed" them to see if I could stand to live with them, let alone share the same room with them. I hadn't interviewed anyone I liked yet, and was ready to give up. Then my final applicant comes along. There was just one little thing that was odd about him. He was a er.. dolphin. Yeah, a dolphin wanted to room with me. I gave him the green light, and managed to communicate with him, despite the fact that he couldn't speak human languages, let alone english! NOTICE: Before I go any farther, just wanna warn ya, it gets worse, and gross, even. One night we were sitting around, shooting the breeze, only I was making those funky squealing/clicking noises that dolphins make. O_o (This is where it gets worse, just so you know) A few seconds later, as if this were a movie and someone cut a lot of frames out, the dolphin was trying to um, have sex with me. (It's still getting worse, bear with me) I caught a glimpse of the dolphin's "package" and uh. Well. That was just scary. The dolphin had three (I say 3) penises. They were all stacked vertically on top of one another. The middle one was the biggest, corkscrew shaped with a knob kind of thing on the end. (Grossed out yet?) The other two were just kinda short and stubby. Yeah. So.. I um, did the nasty with the dolphin. (Mind you, I am NOT into bestiality in real life. This was an 'out of the blue' kind of dream) After that, I guess another one of those mishaps with the film happened, because after that whole fiasco was over, I was suddenly taking a walk with the dolphin, my twin brother, and some friends through the neighborhood. I can't remember exactly what went down, but the dolphin said something that really made me mad, so I took off and left him behind. Then he starts chasing me, shouting all sorts of embarassing things like "Come back baby! You don't wanna leave me! You know I f*cked you good last night! COME BACK!" I eventually made it home and locked him out of the house, and that was the end of that dream.

Hmm... this one isn't anything like Somenosuke's, but for me it was pretty odd. It happened a little while ago, but I'll try and get as much of it down as I can.
This all happened in the dream: It was a Saturday morning, and I was sleeping, but woke up when my roommate came into the room with a bunch of friends. Usually, if I'm asleep, he'll either go somewhere else, or he'll stay in the room and do something quietly. This time, though, he and his friends were really loud, and I woke up. I was in my dorm room, but it was slightly different, and there was some sort of surrealistic mobile thing on the wall (think melting clocks). My roommate said he had someone with me who he wanted me to meet, and this girl who I didn't recognize came over and started talking to me (I can't remember the conversation). Basically she ended up sitting on the foot of my bed talking to me for a while, and the thing that struck me about her was that she had brilliant green eyes. {the dream jumped forward a bit, can't remember if i woke up for a bit, or what} I'm in a theater on campus with a bunch of my friends (one of whom is my ex) and this girl who I had just met. We're sitting in the theater, and suddenly I realize that the girl isn't there. I get up and look for her and go out into the hallway. While I'm out there, I run into another friend of mine. While I'm talking to him, a cell phone rings. I tell him it must be his, cause I don't have one. Then, I realize that I have a cell phone {I really don't} and it was ringing. I look at it, and it says I have 2 missed calls, one from my friend/ex, the other from the girl. So the friend who I ran into in the hallway comes along to help me find the girl. We're walking along a window-lined dining building, and I step onto a wet pavement, but sink into it about a foot and a half. I slog out of it, but my friend says he's not going any further, because 'You guys are too crazy for me." {he didn't say crazy, but it was something along those lines} So i'm on the perimiter road of the campus that isn't my campus but is, and that's about the time I woke up (for real, this time, I think). The whole dream was really clear, and for some reason the green eyes really stood out. My friend Ian (MrSelfDestruct) thinks that it might symbolize a choice that I'm going to have to make at some time between my friend and another girl, but I'm not sure if there really is any meaning behind it, or if my mind was just making images about my single-ness. Whatever...

TFP Dreamers
I'm going to give this one another shot. In the past, there's been a lot of interest in dreams, lucid dreaming, etc...
However, they always seem to be new threads, which disappear with all the other discussions going on. If we post on on one thread, then it will be easier to find. So here goes... put anything relating to dreams here... be it an interesting dream you've had, something you know about lucid dreams, or maybe questions you have about dreams. That way, we'll know where to go. Hey GakFace, maybe if we get enough people here, we can get that Dreams Board approved .

I had a dream last night that I stumbled onto some hardcore porn pictures of my ex-GF, dating back to before we broke up. Don't know where that come from, haven't thought about her in a while.

For extra lucid dreaming fun, slap on a nicotine patch. It will blow your mind. I actually had a dream that was subtitled once. Some poeple were speaking Italian and I could understand what they were saying by "reading" the subtitles at the bottom of my view. Creepy bit is I don't know a word of Italian, so it obviously probably wasn't, but the whole concept blew my mind for a couple of weeks.
I'm sure it was whatever my subconcious thought was italian, but it was pretty strange...Ciao...

I've had dreams in all kinds of different formats.
There was one that was a comic book comlete with pages and frames. I've had dreams that were movies (once in black and white) and sometimes in written form. I got to 'read' one dream twice and it was different both times. |

Here and Here Are pretty good links for Lucid Dreaming. I tried some stuff last night, and I got this strange feeling just as I fell asleep, some sort of tingly feeling all over my body and a mind state of euphoria. I knocked myself awake, but it was pretty cool. Does anyone know of anything (other than nicotine patches and LSD) that would enhance your dreaming capabilites? |
