Toddler eyeglasses?
My toddler needs eyeglasses (since he was a year old due to weak eye muscles), and I've bought him ones and he broke them 4 times...and now I don't know how to keep them on him..the last one was brokem the same hour we got it due to him playing with them. We've tried to stop him from doing it, but it's useless...as soon as i turn my head, he plays with them and breaks them.
Now, are there glasses for toddlers that are elastic, flexible, or stretchable so that even if he stretches the ear handles (sorry can't remember the name ), they won't break? Anyone know if there are such kinds of glasses and where are they sold? Thx for any help in advance. best wishes |

Flexon frames can be twisted, bent, and played with and the parts all fall back into place. I'd check with the place you bought the glasses from. It's a pretty common material by now.

Yes, definitely try the Flexon frames, and to keep them on his face instead of in his hands, use an eyeglass strap--usually sold at eyeglass retailers. My brother had to wear glasses starting as a small child, and we found the strap helped keep the glasses on in all kinds of conditions.
The biggest thing is to have a talk with your child about why wearing the glasses is important. If he understands why he has to wear them, then he's less likely to try to break them in the first place. Correct the behavior behind the breaking, otherwise he'll just try to continue it with his new glasses--and lenses are breakable.
