I want to believe.....but
I'd like to believe that strange paranormal things happen: Alien
spacecraft crash in New Mexico after traveling light years from their planet to ours, Ghosts regularly record their voices on tape recorders in dark cemeteries, People are abducted by alien beings in round saucer-like space ships or using newer model black silent triangle ships.....black to be hard to see but come equiped with many bright lights mounted underneath so they are easy to spot. I'd like to think certain people in the past had the powerful gift of seeing into the future and wrote it all down for us to read and great stone tombs in Egypt were actually built using knowledge long forgotten by modern man, I'd like to think it is posibile that people can learn to remote view things and that certain gifted men and women can fortell the future and are certain that numbers are important to tell us how to live our lives. There are things that would be so mysterious and interesting IF there were more evidence to support their existance. Perhaps an alien sparkplug , a piece of a alien landing gear or a 6 O:clock news program showing a space ship landing on the White House lawn... but all I seem to see are the authors of their books and videos for sale on late night radio programs and news about the latest UFO convention that cost only $40 for the entire 2 days. |

Only then will you see, it is not the spoon that bends...it is only yourself.

Size matters not. Look at me. Judge me by my size, do you? Hm? Mmmm. And well you should not. For my ally is the Force. And a powerful ally it is. Life creates it, makes it grow. It's energy surrounds us and binds us. Luminous beings are we... not this crude matter. You must feel the Force around you. Here, between you...me...the tree...the rock...everywhere! Yes, even between this land and that ship!

Then why not believe?
I just finished watching "What the #@$! do we know" and one of the physicists interviewed said something that really struck home. I'm going to paraphrase it as I can't remember the exact line, "Don't live in the "know," live in the mystery." Absence of proof means very little when dealing with things of this nature. It would be nice if Man throughout history had taken better notes and written stuff down. It would be nice if those that witnessed had been equipped to record their experiences with video, proper photography and what not, but it's not imperative to believe. There are lots of things I don't have the answers to and as such, I can't write it all off as the works of kooks, oddballs and charlatans. I'm not a full-fledged, tin-foil hat believer, but I certainly realize that there is a bit of mystery to the world that I'm not privy to. I guess what I'm trying to say is, moderate belief is fine. It harms none, so why not believe?

^ So true. Ever listen to Art Bell? I think my favorite was... a man froze an alien in his freezer only to have it stolen by the Men In Black...
I would like to believe (not the crack pot with a frozen alien)... so I simply say that it is within possibility. As for the Egyptians... they knew something that we aren't recognizing now, so did the Mayans and creators of Stonehenge. Were these all aesthetic symbols..? That, I think, is outside possibility. When you find yourself looking at star charts of the heavens a million years before and after the creations of the pyramids--some other forces were existing.

I've said that before too, I would like to believe. I don't usually, I'm a skeptic. Have to see these things myself. But if all of these things were true, and happened, I believe it would make this world more interesting. It's nice to think that there are things beyond having coffee in the morning and gassing up your car. That's why I actually wouldn't mind seeing a ghost even if it scared the crap out of me

I liked the way Speilberg ended his movie:"RAIDERS of the LOST ARK": After the
mysterious gold ARK was finally found and taken by the good guys....it was shown boxed up and moved into a giant warehouse where it was locked up with a thousand other boxes for storage. |

Aliens...It is selfish of us to believe that in this infinite universe, we are the only planet to sustain intelligent life. There is so little we know about our own solar system, is it not possible that at one time another planet in our system experienced some sort of cataclysmic event that has made it the inhospitable planet that it is now? Is it not possible that prior to this event there was a civilization that perhaps was in space exploration, perhaps explaining the alleged visitations of the ancient civilizations? As for UFO's, perhaps, perhaps not. We currently lack the technology and understanding to explore beyond our own solar system. Whether or not some other planet in some other solar system has figured out the whole space / time continuum thing....who really knows?
As for ghosts....our spirit consists of energy. Have you ever been in a room with someone in a particularly foul mood, and you just feel the tension about you? Or have you ever been asleep and had a spouse, significant other or parent standing over you or by you; and you suddenly wake because you sense the presence by you? For the most part, though we can control our emotions to a specific degree outwardly, can we always control how we feel on the inside? When we die, that energy leaves our body, a soul, a spirit, what have you. That energy may not be conscious or focused, but emotion or mood can carry with that energy. Sometimes that energy moves on, perhaps for some it dissipates, but I think that largely, what we refer to as ghosts, is the manifestation of energy that has not passed on or dissipated.
