Do you get really paranoid when reading this forum late at night?
During the day I'm fine, but sometimes if it's like 3am and I'm reading the forum, I start to look over my shoulder, and freak out a little when I hear the smallest noise such as my dog moving around in its basket. Anyone else get really paranoid?

I love reading these stories but I only get freaked out when I'm actually around something that freaks me out. Like...after playing with an ouija board, I might start feeling really paranoid.
I rarely get paranoid in my apartment in the city either. For some reason, I just feel safe here. However, when I'm visiting relatives in quiet suburban or seclusive areas, I always get a little spooked. It's just too damned quiet. |

Yup...but its part of the reason I do it. Start reading this forum usually around night time. One of the recent topics that really scared the bee-jeesus outta me was the time traveller one cause it seemed so indepth.

Doesn't normally have an effect on me, but when it does, I've always got my baseball bat next to my desk. Whenever I'm in my room, I've got a baseball bat right next to me. Hmm... that makes me wonder. Whenever I go into a room, anywhere, I look for an item I could use in self defense if I needed it. Is this normal? I've always done this, but I've never been in any fights or anything like that... I asked my friends about it once and they just thought I was screwing around with them. Anyone?

time-traveler kinda bugged me, too. Not that I saw him behind me when I was reading the forum late at night, or anything, but because I think that it is plausible. Not plausible enough to stockpile anything, but enough to ask my friends and for them to tell me that I am nuts. I think they knew that before, but now they have a reason. I DO wonder what is happening in other places at this moment in time and how they effect me. Kind of an extension of that 7days show, only I do not go back in time. Does that make sense?

Don't be embarassed everyone! It's perfectly natural. When your brain senses what could be percieved as an unknown danger, it puts your senses on edge. You pay more attention to sudden sounds or movement. The 'sixth sense', or the ability to sense happenings ouside of the base five senses, can play tricks on you. You think someone is watching you or someone is nearby where there is no one. I just found out about a creature called El Chupacabra, or the goat sucker, an animal that might live in central America. I got really edgy sitting in my room reading dozens of articles on the creature. I'm sure I was no where near a chupacabra, but had you asked me that night, I might have thought otherwise. That little thing is creepy.

The only time I get paranoid is when I feel someone's watching me then I look over my shoulder and see my wife with that "WTF are you doing this late at night looking at the TFP titty board holding that "thing" in your hand!" look.

I don't normally get too edgy when I read this board but this series of post is an exception. They just freak me out for some reason. Probably because they have a high level of detail and relative 'believability.'
http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/showthr...&threadid=8093 http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/showthr...threadid=19951 http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/showthread.php?t=45864 The funny thing is that I always scour this forum in hopes of finding something that will freak me out like these threads did. I guess I want to be scared in a sense. At the same time, I really have no interest in seeing a ghost or coming into contact with the paranormal. That's a little to scary for me. |

I didn't used to, but I just moved into a dorm and all the little noises I'm not used to start to freak me out now...
