People watching
So im always around and about doing whatever it is that I do, and im constinently looking where i cant see, it always feels like somebody is watching me, no matter where im at or who im with. At first I thought it was all in my head cuz things would fall into place like id look over and somebody would be standing there watching me and look away real quick when I would notice them. So I just get more and more into detail, remembering lights, the way things are moved, directions, angels, clothing appearal, objects, colors all that ha but its like natural to me, like i just look and i see it all. what the fuck is up with all this paranoia i got. is it really happeneing or what?
Anyone go through similiar things? |

Personally no not really.
Just out of interest have you been smoking weed or taking any other kinds of drugs, or is there any history of mental illness in the family? Are you suffereing with stress or anything? These things could all make you feel like this. Is it just something that you have noticed or is it ruining your life? |

Have you always overanalyzed things while growing up? Perhaps you think about this so much, that whenever you look at someone and they are looking back, it is just chance because you constantly think about it? They aren't staring at you, it just happens that when you look at them, they are glancing in your direction. Perhaps they think the same thing.....that everyone is watching them, then they look in your direction and what do ya know......you are staring right back at them.

it does not ruin my life.
sometimes its just a feeling, i could be in the woods all by myself and get the same feeling as when I am at wal mart or somewhere. no mental illness nothing like that, no drugs. a chronic weed smoker ha, but when these feelings happen i aint smoking. |

Thats probably what it is then. Weed smoking (apparently) can make you feel like that even at the times when your not smoking it if you smoke it heavily enough. I've never noticed it happen to me though and I smoke shit loads. lol

Watch it, I am in no place or have not enough knowledge to make a diagnosis, but stuff like that can be early symptoms of schizophrenia.
However, there's times when I feel that way to, but thats usually when i feel like I am doing something to make people stare...which sometimes I enjoy doing. Could just be the weed though. You might want to back off on it for a while and see if it gets better. If it gets worse, you might want to consider seeing a doctor.

Don't blame it on the weed.
If you are to enter a room there is a very good chance that the vast majority of people in that room will *atleast* glance in your general direction. If you are wearing somethnig or doing something that catches their eye they may look longer than a glance, thus increasing your chances for eye-contact. If you're in the woods with no one around it can be a common thing to maybe feel uncomfortable or that some "killer" is hiding in the woods ready to jump out at you.. thats more natural instinct. It's way too easy to blame it on the weed. Sure you may feel a little paranoid while smoking or on weed... but thats just because you're afraid you'll get caught... thats it. Any person you see has the potential to turn you in to the police/your parents/your teacher. Risking getting thrown into jail can make anyone a little paranoid.

Look! Behind you! A three-headed monkey!
Just kidding... Seriously, if it doesn't bother you now, then fine. But if it comes to the extent that you see yourself trying to hide yourself in public places, or only wear very neutral clothes and you have to seal your windows in case some tiny insects have planned to come get you and you wear aluminum foil in your pants to help shield dangerous rays, you'd better seek some help. |
