I do. His speech impediment is annoying after 3 songs and their songs start to sound the same after about 6. Unless they change/evolve, i think that they will stay this little indi band that is adored by the "no one knows of them and that is why they are cool" group. tho, they are in my library...

They are my second all time favorite band, listening to Moon and Antarctica as i'm typing this, So far i've only met one person who didn't like them.

Ive seen them twice. They have evolved, every album has increasingly changed with tallent. New album due next month. So much for an "indie" band, there on Epic's lable now, and they are getting bigger than any "indie" band could ever get.

I haven't kept up with them but I've heard some recent tunes - & they have evolved. The first time I heard them I thought - these guys sound something like Built to Spill or Archers of Loaf. Not anymore, though they do sometimes sound like Sunny Day Real Estate - but that could be my bad hearing.

My favorite Modest Mouse moment.
Went to Unlimited Sunshine last year w/Cake, Flaming Lips, Modest Mouse, Kinky, and some other bands. This couple sitting beside us was a pretty girl/beer-swillin'-fratboy couple. The fratboy was wearing a Modest Mouse shirt. Apparently he had been told that you're supposed to wear the shirt of a cool indie band so everyone knows you're indie. Modest Mouse took the stage. 1 minute into their first song, fratboy says, "Who the fuck are they?? They SUCK..." I had to chuckle. Fratboys=waste of sperm.
