Songs for a Canadian trip, eh
I am going to be doing some driving in Canada and since there might not be a radio station there, I will have to bring my own music. I thought it would be a good idea to try to come up with some songs about Canadian to listen to. I'm not sure, but I might make Da Yoopers an honorary mention on this list. They are from the UP of Michigan which could be taken over by Canada and nobody would notice.
So, here is what I have found so far... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9oRNIHvayo# http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9vxDD...ature=related# http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RLMkV...ature=related# http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44P8C4VJkN4# http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C_TfB...ature=related# |

I love the Arrogant Worms... they are just one of many keys to understanding Canadian self depreciating humour.
If you want to hear some great Canadian music... http://radio3.cbc.ca/

This one was kind of funny (I guess Canadians might not all agree), but it is from a TV show.

Something to know about Canada... those who are not living in Toronto, hate Toronto.

Whenever my wife and I would start out on a road trip (Often back and forth between Toronto and Edmonton for the summer) we'd always put in Don Ross's First Ride from his album Bearing Straight.
There's nothing like an open road.

Oh yeah! I forgot about Big Sugar. They have some great driving tunes, especially if you like your Rock bottom heavy and fuzzy.

fresnelly, not to mention the occasional reggae vibe thrown into that bluesy rock.

Damn my dry Englsh wit. I did really meet them in a hick town strip mall though. It was bloody odd, as they're one of my favourite groups and at the time (~1999) hardly anyone in the UK had heard of them.
