heh...thanks very much fly.
i'm pleased that you are digging the recordings. they're here: http://www.clairaudient.org/recordings.html i put up a thread about them a few days ago, but suspect that, as often happens, i blabbed too much to leave room for folk to respond. but i'd be really interested in reading what folk make of this stuff--we just finished mixing the recordings last week (and the residency this weekend, functionally)...so they're fresh...and i'm still in that curious space of not being able to evaluate them really. except that they were great fun to make. |
yeah.......we're finding that, maybe an outside ear would help in the mix/mastering.
we're having a bugger of a time tryin' to do it ourselves. click roachboy's link folks..........really cool stuff. |

In commenting, I have noticed to have garnered quite an ear to "El Producto" and his stylings, through various outlets, unbeknownst really until I have taken the time to actively perceive that such a refreshing sound has been handed don to me. It seems I did not quite notice the very prevalent sound-groupings that the Williams Street company assembled their compilation albums such as "Chocolate" & "Definitive Swim", all in an effort to showcase the most eclectic and praisworthy hip-hop artists not yet too known, hence the continued samplings of such artists as El-P, MF DOOM, Aesop Rock, Camu-Tao, Mos Def, Mr. Lif, among others. |
Mos Def is pretty well known. :P If you like El-P check out Company Flow.
