Great additions by all. I just wish this thread didn't need to be revived every so often because of a lack of participation.
Oh, the surreality and trip-factor of this video plays right along with the lyrics. A definite favorite. The Pharcyde - Otha Fish

Wuthering Heights by Kate Bush. I admire the fact that it's a such a simple, but memorable, video.

If you liked "Closer" by NiN you should check out the still photography of Joel-Peter Witkin: Link to JPW info. Almost every image in the video was borrowed from JPW's book "Gods of Earth and Heaven."
If you like the Tool stop-motion animation videos (and Peter Gabriel's "Sledgehammer" video) then you should check out The Brothers Quay: Link to Brothers Quay info. |

i really like michel gondry. i like this gondry video best of all. there's so much going on visually in it and the concept is smart and th emesh of visuals and audio make a sum greater than the parts. what more can you ask from one of these? cornelius: smoke it's simple and effective and a great song. an old fave, mostly for the lyrics. xtc: complicated game a couple hiphop treats. this i've posted a few times before, but i still think it is, in the parlance of our times, the shit.. ultamagnetic mcs: poppa large freestyle fellowship: innercity boundaries i just like this for the way the jazz/hiphop thing works both sonically and visually.

"Here It Goes Again", OK Go
Ok, I know this video is liked by half of the world, but that doesn't mean it's undeserving of recognition here too! It's a lot of fun, and I enjoy how low-key the filming is (apparently a home video?). You've gotta appreciate the amount of work and practice that had to go into the choreography. Supposedly, they can do the full dance live! "Let Me Know", Róisin Murphy Nothing outrageously unique in this video, but I love the mixture of her beauty, amusing dancing, and clothing. She's very talented, and I am just enthralled. I can't stop watching her, or this video! "Eh Hee", Dave Matthews This video is thought provoking, bizarre, and very unique. It's filmed in the style of playing the music slowly during recording, then speeding up the film later, creating the creepy and strange effect of quick, jerky movements. The dancers in the background are very creepy, and Dave is definitely showing off his acting skills with this song and video. There's a lot open to interpretation, which I like, and allows for me to watch the video over and over again, noticing something new each time. "Learn to Fly", Foo Fighters A video with a story is always a plus as you're entertained throughout. Having a wonderful song, both by lyrics and sound, in the background is a huge plus - especially one by the Foo Fighters. The video is a lot of fun, with the band playing many characters in their "short film". And hey, even Jack Black has a small featured part. Sit back, relax, and enjoy! |

"Oh Mandy" by The Spinto Band. It's artsy, the song is amusing, and they're great performers.

I would have to say that "the bleeding" by Five Finger Death Punch has to be one of my favorities. It's a perfect metal video, and on top of that that, the chick in it is SMOKIN'!

Don't know how to put up the things so if anyone wants to add them to my post go for it friends.
My favorite would either be C'mon C'mon by The Von Bondies, The Other Man by Sloan, or Reptilia by The Strokes. Not so much because they are super cool visually, even though I think The first and the last are, they capture the song better then most videos I have seen. I love the video for Ron Sexsmith's Strawberry Blonde too; very good. He told me the story behind it and since then I've loved it.
