97 VW Jetta Power Hookup - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

I've got a 97 Jetta and I recently purchased some subs and amps. I started putting it in and ran into a problem.

There is no way (that I can see) for the power hookup for the amp to run to the battery through the firewall. I can't find a hole or anything.

Anybody know what to do?

Drill one.....or find the biggest harness and make the hole in the rubber bigger!

Yea, that's what I didn't want to do...

find where the wires in the door for the locks and windows and all that stuff goes... run the wire from the batter along the quarter-panel and down the door crease (on the indside of course) and put it through the rubber grommit thats sealing the wires in the door and the body...

easiest cleanest most direct route possible

I figured it out. I just ended up drilling through the firewall next to where the fuse cables went through.

I was just seeing if there was an easier way.
