How many miles do you drive per year?

As of Feb 14, 2003, I averaged 38,681 miles per year. I'm just curious as to what y'all drive on the average.

The past couple of years I have only put about 6,000 a year on my car. I've put 58,000 miles on my car since I bought it seven years ago so that averages to about 8300 miles a year. Of course I've lived pretty close to school and work during that time, the longest commute I had was 14 miles each way going to community college.

I put around 25000 a year on my car. I don't know where it comes from though! I put about 4000 a year on my cycle, which is actually a lot for just driving around town.

I got my Lancer (new) last September, now I have 11k. I'm hoping to use the bike a lot this summer and stay out of the car.

On Dec. 10th 2002 I picked up my 2003 Dakota Quad cab and I now have 11,100 miles. So it looks like I'll have over 33k when I hit the year mark. I have two trips to FL in May and will go to FL again to visit the future inlaws around Nov. and Dec. And I might drive up to IL in July. Hell I might hit 45K in a year. DAMN

I see I'm above average, but I can't imagine driving 45,000+ miles a year. That's a lot.

I've had my car nearly 8 years and it has ~115,000 miles on it. That equals out to about 14,000+ miles a year.

Woah. Looks like I'm on the low end. Almost 130,000 miles on my truck in 10 years. So ~13,000 a year. It seems like I spend a lot of time in my truck to me. Guess not really. The other part is I live on an island so there isn't really too far to drive.

Since I put over 600/week just to get to work and back home (not including travel for work), over 45k is expected.
