Need loan help?

I've been lusting over this truck for around 2 years...

The guy wants $6,800.00 for it.
I was thinking of maybe getting a loan and buying it.

The type of loan i was thinking of would be a 36mo 7% with payments around $150 a month

I should be able to afford it, and i have a $3,000.00 credit line on a card i have for backup reasons.

Should i go for it?

Oh yeah, I'm 21 and i make $8/hr and around $1,200.00 a month
but if i have a decent car i can get a better job

How does that work?

Right now i have 3 broken down suburbans...yes, i have some sort of fucked up obsession...

I get a ride to work with a coworker who lives up the street...
I dont like my job, it has nothing to do with anything i am skilled in...and I'm being drastically demoted to a fucking stock boy...and ill have to work 6 days a week to make the ammount i made before

Therefore if i have a truck that runs consistantly, and looks good(self esteem issue...) i will be able to get a job a little further away and out of bills way to work :x

That works for me.

BUT

How many miles are on it? Any problems and can you get a bank loan for a car that old? Some banks won't do it due to the fact they are over 10 years and may be in shitty condition...so if you don't pay and the bank decides they need to repo your car for the money...they go and take it and SHABANG! They can't get their money back because the car's not worth what they loaned you...:-\

Yea, you should definately check what condition it's in and see if the bank will even loan you on a car that old (which I'm pretty sure they won't but it doesn't hurt to try). That's the problem I had when trying to find a car and the one I was trying to get a loan on was a 97 jetta

EDIT: Why don't you salvage or sell your other Suburbans to help pay for this one instead of having 3 of them taking up space?

1. Orange one - Has no engine and massive body rot, I'd have to part it out or salvage it

2. White one - Has no front end and isnt worth much...so i think im going to give it to pick n pull if theyll tow it for free

3. White & Blue one - I'm going to try to get this one running and fixed up a little and see if i can sell it

Usually you can get a loan for an older vehicle, my friend had to get a loan for a $7k jacked up 76 Ford F150, most of the times its a personal loan instead of a vehicle loan. The bank might also request alot of pics so they know what you'll be getting into. If you can I guess you should, hell with your others at least you have spare parts...the only thing that sucks is the gas mileage on those aren't too pretty
