Extra bonus points if you can guess what this car was?

Simple. What car was this?

It took me a little while to see what it was. (Clue: It is not a Ford Mondeo)

The important question is, is he willing to snowplow my driveway in the winter?

I'll guess it's a much disguised Escort. That looks like an old locomotives cowcatcher on the front.

Piece of shit riceburner. I win!

It looks like it has Ford Contour/Mondeo headlights. Did they make a hatchback version of that car in Europe? The roofline sure doesn't look like one, though.

hehe, should've read that post about it not being a Mondeo.

It's tough, because the top half looks like a crappy 80s Asian car (blocky primitive roofline, pop-out rear windows), but the design of the hatch and the way it integrates into the rear end and bumper look very modern.

I notice the rear seats have 3-point belts, which was rare in American cars until 1990 or so. I'm not sure when European cars got them, but that might help narrow down its age. The rear headrests are also a good clue that it's not some really old car that's had a lot of bodywork. Unless they swapped in some newer seats of course.

I'd have to congratulate whoever put that thing together for making such a unique car, if they were able to hold off on the giant decals and snow plow front end.

It was a Ford Escort!! Yes, it's got mondeo(Europe) /Contour(US) Mk I head lamps and Mondeo Mk II rear lamps. Vectra wing mirrors and a nasty paint job!

The question I would like to ask... WHY??
