hehe, should've read that post about it not being a Mondeo.

It's tough, because the top half looks like a crappy 80s Asian car (blocky primitive roofline, pop-out rear windows), but the design of the hatch and the way it integrates into the rear end and bumper look very modern.

I notice the rear seats have 3-point belts, which was rare in American cars until 1990 or so. I'm not sure when European cars got them, but that might help narrow down its age. The rear headrests are also a good clue that it's not some really old car that's had a lot of bodywork. Unless they swapped in some newer seats of course.

I'd have to congratulate whoever put that thing together for making such a unique car, if they were able to hold off on the giant decals and snow plow front end.
