Oddity

I saw this little jewel on my way home from the store a few minutes ago. I'm glad I had my camera with me.

My thoughts? Well, I don't want it but I don't hate it. It would be a seriously sweet and valuable car in the original condition but still...

What redneck got his hands on a Benz and totally fucked it up? I think I'm gonna cry, what a disgrace, someone should send the owner a memo to pull his head out of his ass, some peoples children.

I gotta believe this was either done a long time ago or there was something fatally wrong with the MB to begin with. It would be worth a lot more than what's being asked in original trim.

Ha! I love it. Better yet, I'd love the looks on everyone's face at Englishtown if I showed up in towing the wagon in that!

It's just a few blocks from my house. I might go back tomorrow and talk to the owner, to see what engine/chassis, interior condition, etc. This house always has a car for sale in the yard, frequently older or classics. Maybe get a picture of it and my SLK next to each other.

The owner should be shot, hey maybe that could be done in the bush, then people will know how it performs.

i think it's rather fun looking... i personally think it's a waste of a classic benz body though... they could have used some other old car and it would have been just as cool

I went back yesterday to talk to the owner and found out the guy who lives there isn't the owner. He's just letting someone park it there - have to call the number on the sign if I want to know more.

Anyway, I really don't want to know that bad so I didn't call.

Serious mixed feelings...in the end, I don't think I'm a fan. Sure it's unique, but not cool enough for me to want it more than the original.

I dont like seeing old cars lifted with off road setups on them. Someone that lives by me used to have a '65 Mustang that was lifted with an off road chassis and big tires. It looked awful.
