I saw this little jewel on my way home from the store a few minutes ago. I'm glad I had my camera with me. :)

I gotta believe this was either done a long time ago or there was something fatally wrong with the MB to begin with. It would be worth a lot more than what's being asked in original trim.

It's just a few blocks from my house. I might go back tomorrow and talk to the owner, to see what engine/chassis, interior condition, etc. This house always has a car for sale in the yard, frequently older or classics. Maybe get a picture of it and my SLK next to each other.

i think it's rather fun looking... i personally think it's a waste of a classic benz body though... they could have used some other old car and it would have been just as cool

i like it. ive always wanted a bmw made into an offroading vehicle. This benz is a step in teh right direction.

I went back yesterday to talk to the owner and found out the guy who lives there isn't the owner. He's just letting someone park it there - have to call the number on the sign if I want to know more.
Anyway, I really don't want to know that bad so I didn't call. |
Different is good. I think it would be cool to drive that. You would get so many looks. Some good, most bad...

Serious mixed feelings...in the end, I don't think I'm a fan. Sure it's unique, but not cool enough for me to want it more than the original.

I dont like seeing old cars lifted with off road setups on them. Someone that lives by me used to have a '65 Mustang that was lifted with an off road chassis and big tires. It looked awful.

Welp, I drove by yesterday and both the car and the for sale sign were gone. I hope someone has fun with it!
