dirt bike spark plugs

I have a '96 kawaski kx-80 dirt bike with an aftermarket exhaust. I was wondering how often do people go through spark plugs. I have gone through 3 spark plugs in about 4 to 6 weeks. Is my gas/oil mix off or is this normal. My gas/oil mix is a 32:1 ratio.

Check the aspiration (if it runs okay, don't mess with it), probably need to mix a little leaner, or run a hotter plug. I had to change my a plug during a race one time, still fished 3rd. It's very frustrating.

Use a good quality 2 stroke oil.....I used to have a cr80r honda and I used to go through a plug a week easily if not two. I used to use honda brand oil but once I switched to bel-ray synthetic all my problems where cured and it was cheaper than the honda brand stuff. I would check with a dealer and ask what is the proper ratio to double check to make sure things are ok.

when the aftermarket exhaust was installed, was the carb rejetted? if not, that might have something to do with your plugs fouling so often. bike engines are VERY particular about gas flow vs air & exhaust flow. get the wrong combination and you'll be lucky to even get it to idle properly.

also, with 2 cycle engines, the gas/oil mixture needs to be very precise. too much oil and you will be fouling plugs on a regular basis. too little oil and you will risk damage to the engine.

Question. How can you find out where it is legal to ride a motoX bike?
