Lord of Unbroken
(As Howling Back was modeled after Ginsberg's Howl, this is modeled after John Berryman's Dream Songs. Here are the first 77 Dream Songs. I am very tempted to see if I can't extend this into a more complete story arc, if such can be said to be done with this sort of contemporary poetry.)
Gallant he said they shackled with our lovely demons the future of my memoirs. Fleeting the real truth upward like eyes sheared for cathedrals. Drew were the wedding fires unhinged crying for ginger clout. Yes Lord of Unbroken then here stands drunk on sunset rides. Welcome circular in jaundice those effluvia purchased naked dew reworded. Huge nectar quiet hubris. Lily bird inking forgetful soldiers. Last edited by Giltwist; 11-30-2004 at 07:37 PM.. |

I actually read all 77 (wow!) , and I can see the influence in your poem. The second stanza, I think, is the strongest one, but there seems to be enough random details to tie together a story. I'll be keeping an eye out for it!
