[poetry challenge] Write a four verse poem about a piece of clothing you own.
It doesn’t have to rhym and it doesn’t have to be sweet. It'll be fun. (this is NOT a competition, it's just more poetry!)
Just write, and see what happens. I’ll start. Damn Baggy Pants I hate those wide-leg pants with the looseness and all. They don’t look nice; they slow me down to a crawl. Next time I’ll be sure to by pants that fit. No more baggy pants; no more of that ugly shit. |

I hate this tie
I feel the steam rising from your mocha flavored curiosity. Do you feel the condensation brewing from my stinging animosity? Listen to my adams apple thump rhythmic with my anger, Because next time I get to be choosy, I'm leaving you on the hanger. Woohoo keep it giong! J.R.V.A. and SnotGoblin I like your poems! Yall are really good too, I sortuh didn't expect you all to be that good. Last edited by sub zero; 08-17-2003 at 07:24 AM.. |

Plain White T-Shirt
Pop culture's crap rules I don't heed, A plain white t-shirt's all I need, Its easily stained by dirt and food, But when its clean - damn I look good The Power To Believe Watching the reactions of the people in the street, Its sad to see that most of them are square enough to hit, They wouldn't know a good band if I stamped it 'cross my sleeve, I wear King Crimson's touring shirt, the Power To Believe Hehe this is loads of fun.

When I get down and blue, I look to find my favorite shoes. These are the ones that you know of, the ones that fit you like a glove. Soft and squshy they are just so right, Tie the laces but not too tight. Who would think that a simple shoe, Could lift you out of a bad mood. |

Everyone tells me to change my shirt colors
They all insist I let go Yet no one see the irony Of my greens and browns resemble my geckos! I never ever loved my face But when I go out I wear good taste (or I did) Bright shirts, clashing ties How I never get bored seeing the emotion I bring through another’s eyes |

I love my boots, they're leather after all
The cowboy kind, with the heels kinda tall They get old and soft, they match my feet Old leather boots are just hard to beat I have some others, for biker trips They're scratched and rough and have some rips I like to ride in em, the toes are steel They stay on the pegs, with a low cut heel I have others, I would hate to lose em With lots of care is how I choose em Shoes are nice, if you dress that way But for me, boots are here to stay
