I want a new car, and I have no credit.
I'm 26 years old, and have managed to avoid getting almost any type of credit my entire life. The last 2 times I tried to get a credit card, I was told I couldn't get a card because my credit was to "new". This never really bothered me because I didn't need a credit card and I went on my merry way.
But now, I've got a pretty good steady job (U.S. Coast Guard), and it would be nice to have a car to get to and from work. I would really like a Honda Civic. But I'm wondering if it is even worth my while to try to get a car with almost no credit. I'm just wondering if anyone has any tips of advice.

why don't you go to a car dealership and fill out the forms for financing and see what happens?
you'll at least know if you're qualifed right now... if not, then follow shakran's advice
