I made a decision (by myself ^^) to place my gf before my friends. My gf proves to be a better friend than my close friends are, and much more than that, too. I'm not going to vote, though, because I don't like the word choice. I have too much respect for my gf to associate her with anything remotely derogatory. Lighten up nothing.

What if your gf dumps you? Who will you turn to since you decided to drop all your friends for her?

I noticed that you're also vietnamese so here's a phrase to think about (hope you can read Viet): tri ky de kiem, tinh lang kho tim. |
Because all my friends are males and I've always tended to have a very "male" attitude toward women, I vote bros before hos. However, I respect the desire for pussy, and so I understand when a bro cuts out to hang with his girl. In my mind, a little time spent on her equals huge rewards for him, and if he's happy, I'm happy. Just don't bail on our goddamn LAN parties.

Your wife comes first, period, but that does not mean you dont' have friends. My wife doesn't care if I go out etc, but if it comes between say something my wife really wants me to do and something my friends do, the wife wins. Hell my wife is about as good as they come in this reguard, I married quite well. The biggest issue here is that your wife should be your best friend. I feel sorry for those people who's wife isn't their best friend. |

 My now oldest friend I met when I was 21, most others are far more recent. I couldn't even tell you the names of more than one or two highschool friends. Trust me, most friends come and go, and unless your lives take you in the same directions, you will find you have less and less in common with them until they are strangers. |
I've always been "bros before hos" because I believe that friends last longer than girlfriends. Case in point: Oldest Friends - known for 12 years. Oldest Girlfriend - 4 months and 2 days. My friends will always be important to me, because of our history and the fact that I have fun with them. HOWEVER, what happens when your "ho" is your best "bro..?" I realize that they're gender specific words, but the question becomes moot when someone can be both.

As for the word choice -- lighten up. :) |
Ha, probably depends on whether you've just started a sexual relationship or are just ending one.
Marriage inevitably destroys everything anyway. |
Go with the one your sleeping with. If your not sleeping with someone for whatever reason, then go with the ones you don't sleep with.

"Bros before hos" already implies a greater value placed on friends than casual female acquaintances. Obviously, in my book, a good friend will always get priority over a girl I've just met. I've heard another version of this that girls use: "chicks before dicks", which is just as derogatory, but is used in the same context.
Also, I've been in situations where a guy that hooks up with a truly awesome (physically or otherwise) girl would get some slack from any "bro" he would be with. Similar to "bros before hos" is "take one for the team", where a guy would let himself be stuck in an unpleasant situation, so that his friend might get an advantage. This would entail some sort of recompense after. |
