I'm still here. I have a car but no insurance/tags - it's up for sale. Once that sells I'm buying a sportbike.
I'll be gone for sure when I'm off to college but I may end up getting an apartment till then. |
28, live at home to help dad who is ill. Have my own car. Will be looking for an apartment nearby though.
|
Still in high school (but I am 18) so I live with my parents.
Can't wait until college to get out. Not that I dislike my family or any matter like that (although a three old brother and one year old sister tend to cry too often), but I just much rather get out and be on my own. Oh, and no car. I'd have to buy the car, pay the insurance, and then top it off with the gas. I don't want to work a full time job while in high school. |
I now live across the pond in England with my Aunt and Uncle
Yes I have car, bought it last year |
bought my parents home, and I bought my own car 4 years ago, and I'm the only owner of it. I'm 23 years old so I have a little pride in that.
|
It sucks to live with your parents at 22, but it's inevitable when you don't earn enough money... :hmm:
|
27 and I don't live with my parents. Every month when I pay the mortgage, I wish I did. I live in a house with my wife (pregnant w/ twin boys), 2 boys and 4 cats. Some how I don't think my parents would want us to move back in. I have 2 cars and am getting ready to trade one for the dreaded minivan.
|
I'm livin' with my dad at the moment. Was out of home for 4 years before that, just here temporarily since I'm going to be sharing with friends, but they're not ready to move for a couple months and I don't want to pass up the opportunity to live with sane people who don't shit me.
I have my own car, but not for too long. I'm moving from the suburbs, back near the centre of Sydney, where I belong, so I won't need it, and can finally sell the damn thing. To me, a car is just a huge waste of time, money, and natural resources (unless it's for rallying :D ). Plus Sydney drivers are shithouse. |
20...still here :| Sux.
Asta!! |
I'm twenty and I still live with my parents. I got a brand new car, they pay for my gas normally. I'm saving money for rent. My grandpa lives close and he just built a theater room for his home and is putting up 2 bowling lanes. As shallow as it sounds, I couldn't imagine giving up such a nice life at the moment. Plus, I love the relationship I have with my parents and close family members. Also, I did the party scene a semester in high school and it got old. Now, I go to bed early and my idea of entertainment is playing video games and watching movies. So, I think I have a good place to fit my needs.

i'm 18 and still living at home...
i do own my own car. but it's "yellow stickered" (means the cops have deemed it un-roadworthy) so its in my brothers workshop ATM. also im about to loose my licence for "wreckless driving" (appatently taken ur hands off the steering wheel, even just for a moment is wreckless) so soon i'll own a car but be riding a push bike around. |
I'm 19 and I live in an apartment with two of my buddies from college. I haven't lived with my parents since I was 17, and I don't plan on ever moving back home.
And I own my own car, but my parents pay for insurance since I'm in school. |
Anyone else feel old reading this thread?
|
23 Living with mom still for a few more months until the house is done.
|
Still live at home, but im going to college (im 19, almost 20).
Don't own a car, all money goes toward college right now. |
26, got a big old house on top of a hill where my wife and dog reside with me also.
got 2 cars, well, 2 SUVs |
Still living at home. Just graduated from college, so its only a matter of time until I find a place. I really don't mind it though. I do have a car now which means I'm basically independent.
|
My friends just about all live at home, I don't know how they do it. I would go nuts. I live in a house with my wife, and we're 24.
|
Left when I was 16. That was a lonnng time ago. Haven't been back.
|
Bought myself a car with a programming job when I was 17 (oh yeah  )
Currently 19, going to college and still living at "home" with parent and siblings. |
Yes I live at home. No I don't have a car... yet.
|
Alright I feel old. I've got a 26, 22, 19 y/o still living at home. They do have cars.
|
19, on my own, i own a car flat out, no payments, i suport my self except health insurance. i am paying for college out of my own pocket. overall im in the black more then in the red.
|
Still livin' at home and I have a car. By next fall I should be moving out though. Part of me can't wait. I also have a job now, so I don't feel so bad about it. :p
|
A lot of people live at home apparently. Glad I don't with the exception of having free room and board. If I lived at home, I could have a sweet ride and lots of women!!..........But wait a minute, I am married and have a 2 year old..... Oh well, I guess it was just my fantasizing again.
|
i still do tho but im18. i should move out second year of college already.
|
I just turned 19. I will move out in Spring next year. I own a classic Porsche I bought and rebuit but will sell it to give me a surpluss and save money on gas / insurance out of the house.

Haven't lived with my parents for almost half of my life, and after spending more than about 1 week with them, I am glad. Love 'em, but can't live with 'em. |
21 and moved out since I was 18, my mom loves it when I come over but doesnt' like me living at home cause me and my dad argue and it makes me have mental breakdowns. Also I have my own car, kinda have to have one to get to school, work, etc.
|
yep, still live at home. am 21 and staying there until i finish univeristy (one year to go) and if i manage to find a job.
and yes, i have a car. had it since i turned 18. its front is held on by gaffer tape :) |
Yes and Yes but I am moving out and getting married next year some time. YIKES!!
|
I haven't lived with my parents since I spent 2 months there during my first summer back from college. They told me to get the f**k out so I took their none too subtle hint and dipped. 6 years later (last week) I bought a house. I just like to brag about my new house, err, home. Whoopie!
And it's bigger than the house I was told to get out of :p Bought a car this year too. Before that, I rode a bike to work. Bah. |
I still live at home (though not w/ my father he lives a few miles away)
I have a "car" |
My answer to this ends up being a riddle.
I do not live at home. My wife lives at home. We live together in the same house. We live alone in the house. |
19, still at home, just can't afford to move out.
My dad bought me a car last year, but his broke down recently so he's been using my car for work more than me. Not like I have anywhere to go or anything.... |
23 (almost 24), and I live at home... MY home. :-D
I moved out from my parents' house the day I turned 18. |
I'm still at home but I'm young enough so that everyone my age still is. And yes I have a car but it's actually in my mom's name.
|
the rest of my siblings packed it up and moved out ASAP, and my younger brother is off to join the Military in a few months when he graduates. Im still trying to move back home. Im still homesick.
Im 20, live in an apartment by myself. Im drowning in debt and I dont have credit cards lol. I own my car and for now because of my finances my parents pay the insurance. |
i'm 21 and still living at home. i was living with a friend at school for awhile then i messed up my back and had to come back for therapy. i've been back for a year and absolutly cannot wait to move out again. life is so much better out on your own.

I'm in a dorm room most of the year, although like most other college students on here I go back to the parents' for the long breaks. Thankfully my dorm room is too ridiculously small for even the most tight-fisted of housing directors to think of putting two people in, so I pretty much have the freedom that goes with living on your own. I'm financially dependant on the parents for the room and for the education itself, but as long as I keep bringing down A's and keep the scholarship money flowing they're happy to put aside what would have been half of their discretionary income to support me.
I don't have a car. The parents aren't giving me one and there isn't much outside of walking distance that I need to get to when I'm at school. I've got enough friends who like my company enough to go 10 minutes out of their way to pick me up to make most of the off-campus events that I want to go to. The mass-transit system here in St. Louis is both pitiful and crime-ridden, so I go to an event or party on-campus whenever I can't find a ride. |
