Full bladder causing morning back pain?
I finally put two and two together. Some mornings (or even in the middle of the night), I'd wake up with a horribly sore lower back, which would eventually go away over the course of the day. I noticed that it was usually on weekends, so figured it had something to do with sleeping longer than usual. But then I realized this never happened when I'd get up sometime in the very early morning and hit the washroom, only when I would wake up after sleeping through the night and really have to go.
I'm guessing a full bladder is pushing something out of line in my back? Has anyone else experienced this? I imagine it can't be healthy over the long term. I almost always pee right before bed, but I think I'm going to have to make a conscious effort to drink less in the evenings. |

When someone mentions back pain, along with peeing... My thought goes to kidney stones...

However, since you don't seem to be in severe pain, in some instances the pain has been described to that of childbirth... Might it be that you are getting back pain from your mattress? If it happens in the weekend, you are spending more time in bed, so you might feel the effects of a mattress not giving you full support.

Yeah it's definitely a sore-tired-back feeling, and not massive pain. And I thought it was something with the mattress too, but it happens when I'm sleeping at other locations under the same circumstances too. I swear it's the bladder somehow. After it dawned on me, I started paying careful attention, and that's the only time it happens.

Wait...maleficient...is there any way you can find out if what you have is a kidney stone? I never thought I might have one but I have had lower back pain for quite some time...and I always just ignored it...but 1-2 months ago, I woke up quite suddenly with excruciating pain on my left side, below my ribs and extending all the way to my groin. It kept coming in waves and it was so bad that I started crying and talking to myself (well, just saying omg, omg, omg...but still). I had no idea what to do, so I called my friend. He suggested appendacitis, which I later found out only affects your right side. Anyway...its sort of went away for a while so I proceeded to forget about it until earlier this week, when I started to get random sharp pains in the same area. I should probably just go to my doctor....
