Infomercial equipment

I saw this ad on TV the other day about a thing called the "Ab Revolutionizer" or something to that extent. It was pretty intriquing and I almost thought about calling. I didnt order it because I am under the impression that anything you buy from an infomercial is going to be worth less then the box it comes it.

Has anyone here ever ordered any kind of equipment from an infomercial?

Save your money. I have learned that abs come from body fat percentage. To have abs, diet and exercise until you are seeing muscle. Then you can sculpt them with crunches, sit-ups, and leg lifts (if needed).

My exercise equipment consists of a heavy bag and gloves (for fun), a treadmill (for fat burning), some dumbells and a small free weight bench (for building and toning muscle).

Never have, never will. Not even the Chuck Norris total gym 2000!! As others have already said, save your money.

the total gym you can get at sporting good stores for like 50 bucks. its worth that i think i always had fun using one when i was younger.
Although it may sound odd those kathy ireland 12minute ab work outs burn like hell if you try hard on them for the full 12. Id recommend just renting one of thos much better than paying 5x the cost

i do one of the following, they seem to be working

1) crunches - no equipment required
2) like crunches, only hold for count of 100, then relax ... then repeat
3) do situps with no back support - i sit on a footstool and tuck my feet under the sofa

Save your money, whatever exercise equipment you buy from infomercial will not work. How many of the models they used in the infomercial actually use the equipment?

Diet and regular exercise is the key. I just turned 38 and my body fat is at the lowest since out of high school @8.7%. Cut down on sugar intake, no fatty snacks after 8 pm.

Light exercise or stretching before going to bed will help you burn more fat even during your sleep.

You definitely do not need expensive (or for that matter), any equipment to cut your abs. Like boo and sashime said, it is diet that is important. No amount of situps will sculp your abs if you have a layer of fat over it. Same with any other muscle.

Don't waste your money, do cruches, sit-ups, leg-raises, etc. and diet right.

The only one IMO that is worth it is the Bowflex. It is a good workout setup, without the hastle of weights. And lets face it it's easier to sit at home watching TV and working out than it is to go to a gym.

Another 2 cents if you don't mind. Check out the classified ads in the papers or local circulations. Look under exercise equipment, I'll be you can find lots of stuff for sale. Don't spend your hard earned money for something you will put in the garage two week from the date you make the purchase.

i'd think a power rack would do much better than bowflex and be cheaper
