Making Protein Shakes Taste Better
Couldn't find anything on search about this so thought i'd post.
I got this protein powder called "Mega Whey" Vanilla flavor, you're supposed to add water to to make the shake you know. My problem is this stuff tastes so completely disgusting that i can barely down it, and when i do down it i feel nausiated the rest of the day. It's so bad that after i lift my weights i skip taking it all together! So my question is, does anyone know any ways to make this stuff taste better? Mask the terrible taste or something? Powder + Water = Disgusting |

Blah yeah, I feel your pain, I think i've had that one before :-/ but anyway, what I found helps make it seem to not taste AS bad for me is the colder it is the better, trying using milk perhaps, it ups the calories but youll get a better taste if you're not too concerned about the calorie count, and if you're up for it try putting ice in there and blending it all together into a milk shake type deal. You'd be surprised

Buy Muscle Milk. Freaking tastes awesome! I swear to god it tastes like a real milkshake. Doesn't require anything extra at all, but if you do add a banana or something, it'll taste extra damn good.
My favorite is Muscle Milk chocolate flavor with Coffee/Expresso flavoring added. Damn good. I mean, it's so good you'll crave it. |

My favorite way to spruce up the protien is to use frozen bananas, milk, protien powder, and every once in a while, some frozen berries or yogurt. The frozen banana gives it the texture of a thick milk shake and it is damn good. I would drink it even if it didn't have the benefits

mix in the whey with your oatmeal- you barely taste it and you get extra protien from the oatmeal itself!
