Making Protein Shakes Taste Better
 
Couldn't find anything on search about this so thought i'd post.

I got this protein powder called "Mega Whey" Vanilla flavor, you're supposed to add water to to make the shake you know. My problem is this stuff tastes so completely disgusting that i can barely down it, and when i do down it i feel nausiated the rest of the day. It's so bad that after i lift my weights i skip taking it all together!

So my question is, does anyone know any ways to make this stuff taste better? Mask the terrible taste or something?

Blah yeah, I feel your pain, I think i've had that one before :-/ but anyway, what I found helps make it seem to not taste AS bad for me is the colder it is the better, trying using milk perhaps, it ups the calories but youll get a better taste if you're not too concerned about the calorie count, and if you're up for it try putting ice in there and blending it all together into a milk shake type deal. You'd be surprised ;)

Buy a different brand because they aren't supposed to taste bad and stay away from Vanilla (they tend to taste the worst). Other then that, possibly mix it with fat free milk.

yea kinda late to buy a different flavor i bought the huge tub of it, so i gotta tough it through this i guess :(

I've tried milk, it didnt help much...i'll try the Smoothie type deal SparHawk said

Buy Muscle Milk. Freaking tastes awesome! I swear to god it tastes like a real milkshake. Doesn't require anything extra at all, but if you do add a banana or something, it'll taste extra damn good.

My favorite is Muscle Milk chocolate flavor with Coffee/Expresso flavoring added. Damn good. I mean, it's so good you'll crave it.

My favorite way to spruce up the protien is to use frozen bananas, milk, protien powder, and every once in a while, some frozen berries or yogurt. The frozen banana gives it the texture of a thick milk shake and it is damn good. I would drink it even if it didn't have the benefits

Rudel careful about what fruit you put into it. I would highly recommend strawberries over bananas because bananas are so full of sugar it is rediculous.

I put a cup of strawberry yogurt and an egg in mine.

Also, I've been told that half a can of Diet root beer tastes really good, but then I don't know if you necessarily want to go that route.

I know this might sound weird and is probably full of sugar but sometimes I mix vanilla protein powder with orange juice. I think it tastes pretty good but like I said above, it's full of sugar that you'll probably want to avoid.

mix in the whey with your oatmeal- you barely taste it and you get extra protien from the oatmeal itself!

If im not mistaken, Beverly isnt whey and that isn't good to be wasting money on cheaper grade protein.
