Sunless tanning
anyone gone to one of those Sunless tanning places in your town? How'd you like it? Did you turn orange? I am tired of being a pasty white boy, and going to a real UV ray pushing bed isn't my idea of a good time.
Any advice is appreciated

I was looking to do this myself just so i can tan my ass. I cant go outside nekkid at my pool. #1 cause it is a community pool.
As for Tanning salons. There are studies about them. About people getting cancer. But i think it will basically be the same as going out in the sun and cooking yerself. I myself was gonna go at least once a week. JUst how i tanned turning the summer. JUst make sure you wear sunscreen and stuff of that nature.I just read some article to. I think it was up on MSN not to long ago. But anways. Take things slow at first. Whatever yer plans Tikki, Have fun with it! |

No, I'm not talking about the tanning bed. There are places that will spray on this aloe vera based stuff that will make you tan in like four hours. It's called sunless tanning, and only takes about a minute.

I think that was the plot of a recent friends episode, IIRC.

They've done it a couple times on Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. People seemed to be pleased with the results, but I'm the guy on the beach under the umbrella wearing 45 proof sunscreen, so I'm not really the person to ask.

I've heard the Mystic Tan is often used by celebrities like Paris Hilton etc. for a natural looking tan. You stand up is a shower clothing optinal I think and get sprayed from every angle. The tan is supposed to last about a week and a session is $40. The only complaint I've heard about it is towards the end of the week it tends to get kinda streaky!
But if that's too expensive for ya, you can always get self tanners that you spray on yourself from Walgreens or Eckerds. I've heard Neutrogena Self Tanner works really good! To test to make sure you don't turn orange after a week, just put a small patch on your leg for the week and see what happens! But you might wanna check out so chick mags. that give reviews to them! I've seen some dark girls that used these self tanners, so they do work! Yeah and avoid the actual tanning beds, too expensive and way too easy to get badly burned especially if you're pale! They usually aren't too informative about procedures there! |

Sunless tanners come in a variety of colors. Based on your skin color, some will look more natural on you than others. If you're going to a spray-on tan salon, ask their advice about which might go best with your skin. Anyway, they only last a week so if the first one doesn't look right, you can always try another color soon.
