For people who used to be in the military
I'm thinking it might be interesting to join the military. I have a degree, but don't really want to do anything in Psychology (not that anyone is hiring in Psych anyways). The armed forces have several different options that interest me. What I am wondering is, can I get a recruiter to tell me what I would be doing before I sign up and then make it stick after I sign up? I'm not really interested in joining and then doing something like deck sweeping.

Get a control number for your MOS before you ship out. Insist upon it. Don't take "Later" for an answer. There are also paperwork ways about it, but the control number is really the only thing that will get you there for sure.
Unless of course things have changed a lot recently. Or not so recently, guess it's been a while for me. Jdoe |
