Get a control number for your MOS before you ship out. Insist upon it. Don't take "Later" for an answer. There are also paperwork ways about it, but the control number is really the only thing that will get you there for sure.
Unless of course things have changed a lot recently. Or not so recently, guess it's been a while for me.
