Showering and stuff.
So how often does everyone here shower? Me, I shower in the morning, at night, and most of the time in the middle of the day in between classes. I guess I've developed this train of thought that whenever I sweat, I smell, therefore I must shower. (even though I used deodorant/anti-perspirant)
Anyway, how often do you guys shower? Are other people as concerned about shower/not smelling as much as I am? |

Wow...one of the running disagreements between my fiance and I. She showers a minimum of 3x a day. I'm more of a shower when necessary type, usually 2x a day.
If I shower at midnight and am running behind in the morning, I think nothing of skipping the morning shower. Or, If I shower around 6-7 p.m., I'll usually skip the pre-bed shower. She disagrees with both of these.

I HAVE to take one when i wake up. The day just sux if i don't. Then i'd usually take one in the afternoon, if i can. I'm at work all day, so i cant really take one. Then i take one after i get home from work or gym.
Basically 2 times a day during the weekdays and about 3 times a day on weekends. |

I usually only take a shower once a day at night and I just use it as a time to relax. I take long hot showers even in the summer and it just feels so good. But if I'm sweating a lot in the middle of the day, then I take a cool shower so I can lie on my bed and not get it sweaty. I'm the kind of guy who likes to keep my bed really clean but I've gotten lazy about it the past year or so.

On weekdays: In the morning, to get me moving before I go to work.
Weekends: Usually in the afternoon, after I've sat around, done nothing, then (finally) done housework or yardwork and gotten stinky/sweaty.

Every morning before I go to work, and every day when I come home from work. Then once again if I'm going clubbing that night, but I'm usually too beat from work to think about dancing for 6 hours. Days off I shower whenever I get up, and if I happen to workout or do something sweatifying* I'll shower again after that.

I am glad some of you have enough free time in your day to shower 3 times... I personally shower once in the morning and maybe again if I got particularly sweaty when working out. Showering too much is bad for your skin. I wouldn't recommend doing it quite so often.

I always shower after I work out, which tends to be some random point in the afternoon after work/errands/stuff. Sometimes I will shower in the night or morning, so it can average from 1/2 to 2 showers a day.
2 things to note..showering more than twice a day is bad for you. It will dry it your skin fairly quickly. Second thing, for your hair, it's bad for you to wash it even once a day. It's far better to clean it every 2nd day or so, even every 3rd. The only reason you should be doing it daily is if you put an incredible amount of product in your hair. Otherwise it irritates the follicles and messes up the sebum levels of your scalp. |

Wow, I feel even dirtier...
I wash my hair everyday, but don't shower but maybe once a week. Or after I workout or play volleyball...

I shower 3 times a day, once in the morning, once when I get home from work and once after I get home from the gym. Even though I have heard it's not good to shower more than twice a day simply because the soap drys your skin out really bad. Also a good showering tip, make sure you wash ya ass yo, spread and scrub dog spread and scrub.

I shower once a day in the morning. Maybe twice if I start to feel greasy at night. Some weekends I don't shower until the evening. I had no idea how many showers I am potentially missing out on until I read this thread.
