Softball Elbow
I play in a men's league and have been having elbow problems. Last season, my elbow began bothering me after extended throwing sessions. This season, every time I make a hard or even medium throw, I get a long pain in my elbow. This has limited me to the throwing range of a strong twelve year old. Any suggestions?

If the pain is on the outside of the elbow it is lateral epicondylitis(tennis elbow). If it is on the inside, it is medial epicondylitis(golfers elbow). The above suggestions are right on. Anti-inflammatories, a tennis elbow splint(for both problems), and if it persists, a cortisone injection(works pretty good) and/or physical therapy.

Sometimes elbow problems feel alot more serious than they really are. Try putting some Bengay on it and icing it down at night. If that doesn't work, well then I guess it's time to see a doctor.
