Aleve (naproxin sodium) for all aches and pains. Asprin doesn't go down smoothly for me, and some of the other non-aspirin products give me cottonmouth. Naproxin sodium works great, is good for up to 12 hours, and is cheap (especially considering the one-pill-for-12-hours thing). Also like it for backaches and sore knees.

I take Excedrin for strictly headaches. I typically use this in tandem with a cup of Tension Tamer tea, lots of water (a Nalgene full), stretching, and massage.

The only time I ever get a headache is when I have a full-blown cold.
This means the only time I take something for a headache is during my bi-annual (sometimes tri-annual) cold, in which case I take something along the lines of Tylenol Cold & Flu. This is a cocktail of:
So I guess the short answer is I take acetaminophen for my headache.

It's the one thing that makes having a cold not so bad after all. I can't even remember the last time I needed cold medicine. It's been a long time. I might even be going on my fourth year. We'll see what next cold season brings.

My headaches typically last several days when I get one. So I hydrate, sleep, take 600-800mg of ibuprofen liquid gels every six hours, drink caffeine in moderation, avoid sugar, and try a heat pack on my shoulders or a few hot baths with Burt's Bees muscle soak. If that doesn't work, I'll resort to taking something to sleep or a zanaflex, cause something other than plain headache is going on.

Depends on the situation. If I am sick, or if I am at work, then I take a couple of acetaminiphin. If it's bad, then I cocktail a couple of acetaminiphin with a three ibuprofen.
If I am not sick (it's just a headache), and if I'm not working, then I smoke a couple hits off the bong. Clears up headaches, muscle aches, tension, eye fatigue...whatever you got.

I have to agree with Plan9 good old fashioned sexual relief is just about the best headache medicine ever...hell just rub one out, you'll be feeling better in no time.
When that fails, I don't know I usually just have whatever cheap thing I find at the store on hand, usually just plain old aspirin.

The headaches I usually get are a symptom of drinking to much grog the night before. I usually drink a crap ton of water and something with caffeine in it. If that doesn't help, I'll take whatever is in my medicine cabinet. I'm not to picky about what I use to cure a headache.
I hardly ever had headaches that aren't the product of lots of rum shots. I agree with Wes and Plan tho, rubbing one out helps. |

the problem is, once the sex is over, the headache comes back..
if that's going to work, you got to keep sexin' till you fall asleep if its a migraine, imigraine is a sure bet if its sinus related, i gargle and sniff salted water before i take a brufen or panamax if its just tension headache, sex and sleep is probably best
