Things Your SO Does (Single folk, beware)
So yesterday I lost a bowl. There was one less in the cupboard than there should've been. Thoroughly confused, I asked Magpie if she knew what had become of my wayward dinnerware, and she told me a story.
That morning, she said, she'd gotten up and prepared her breakfast. We bought her Cheerios on one of our recent shopping trips, because they were on sale. Well, Magpie thoroughly enjoys Cheerios, and yesterday morning she got up and poured herself a bowl. Apparently she was so excited that she was actually walking around the apartment singing 'Cheerios! Cheerios!' And then she discovered our lack of milk. Disheartened, she stored the bowl of Cheerios in a different cupboard, next to the box. For the record, I actually went out at midnight to get more milk and thus avoid a repeat of this nightmare scenario, but that's not the point of this thread. I was still asleep at the time, but I can picture clearly in my head her walking around the apartment singing. It's an almost unbearably cute image, and it's so thoroughly, genuinely her. And so the thread. I want to hear from my fellow Domesticated TFP folks. What sorts of things does your SO do? I'm looking for the types of things that make you smile just thinking of them. Ready? GO!

she wakes me up to tell me that I am snoring. (which I don't do.. i sort of snort on occasion, but if I snore, I wake myself up). Then she falls back to sleep, and snores. This is what is waking her up. She has no idea that it is her.
I'm going to record her.

He greets me in the morning with coffee, because he knows I can't function like a normal human being without coffee and some wake-up time first.
He talks to the kitties like I do, and uses my nicknames for them (Tumblebee and Ruffapotamus, both elusive beasts rarely seen). He enjoys being silly with me. And he doesn't mind that at least once a week I like to eat macaroni and cheese (Kraft Dinner) with peas.

I think I've posted the before, but two things that really make me smile involve our morning ritual. I get up at 430, do my bathroom business and take a shower. I pour him a glass of juice and wake him up at 5. While he is waking up and drinking his juice I start putting on my face. He comes in and brushes his teeth and takes his meds and THEN I get to give him weenie smoochies, if something happens to mess that up my whole day is shit lol THEN by the time he gets out of the shower I'm done with hair and makeup, I take off my towel and we rub butts before we get dressed.
Another thing that is adorably cute is when we are on a car trip. I have this thing about other people driving so when we go long distances he gets to be passenger, Im usually beboppin along with the music and I will look over and I can tell he's going to sleep cause his bottom lip is poked out hehehehe I just love that

She wakes up smiling and happy every day. She gets out of bed and quietly makes us coffee while I get ready for work. Then we enjoy a few moments together while sip our coffee. She makes my lunch and we chit-chat about nothing in particular. It's a wonderful way to start the day!
And at the end of each day, she is still happy and smiling and glad to see me. Even if she's had some frustrating events, she manages to make the homecoming special. It's a wonderful way to end the day! |

He does all the grilling, on occasion will bring me some sort of surprise, either some new coffee to try, some wine or mead, or anything else he thinks I'll like or would find useful. He bought me a wine cabinet for my place and 2 HUGE candles, which we found set off the smoke alarm, so we had to stop lighting them inside
He constantly runs his fingers through my hair if I'm laying on his lap while on the couch, which is so relaxing to me. He comes in my door and greets me with a kiss, and does the same when he leaves. Cuddles a lot. He's nice to my cat even though she runs away and hisses at him. These are just a few things I love about him that he does.

Coming from a spectacularly single gal but one who loves love...I still want to share
My children's father used to paint my toenails...no he didn't have a foot fetish, he just like doing it for me. My ex used to start my car for me when he left for work - we live in MN - winters are a bitch! Another ex used to buy me a pair of shoes - ottta the blue- and he had great taste. The shoes didn't have to be expensive or anything, it just felt good that he saw something that reminded him of me and picked em' up. A guy I just recently stopped seeing, I wouldn't call him an ex but....he used to leave flowers on my windshield at work and corny cards And an ex who passed a few years back used to brag to his friends about my dart throwing ability...when choosing a partner at the bar he always called on his girl!

I could make an entire forum on this, but here's one of my favorites.
Last summer (a year ago), we went down to the beach. I had created a mix of songs for us specifically for this beach trip, and I loaded it with songs I knew Grancey liked. One afternoon, we were driving along the beach road with the Gulf of Mexico on our right, and Grancey was sitting in the passenger seat singing heartily along with the song mix and making a little pillow dance in her lap in time to the music while she gazed out at the water. It was all I could do to watch traffic and not just sit and smile at her the whole way.

His endless patience when I'm cranky astounds me. I would have slapped me by now, but he's really good at making me uncranky. I'm amazed he bears with me, and thankful!

Of late, she's been singing "Yoooooooou gotta get up now, you gotta get up now..." in the mornings when I don't want to get outta bed. It's cute as all hell, especially because of the faces she makes while she's singing it.
And she likes to fall asleep with my dick in her hand, playing with it. Not in a trying-to-get-me-hard kinda way, just literally playing with it. Of course, trying-to-not-get-hard ain't easy. There's plenty more. Nice one, Martian.
