that shit's scary. you're ingesting whatever crazy bleach-ass chemical shit they put on those to make your teeth white. to be fair though, i've never actually picked up a box and looked at it.

They work, but not as well as getting your teeth bleached by your dentist.
Be carefull, I used some of the store bought whitening gel, and burned my tastebuds so bad that I couldn't taste anything for a whole week.

I was talking to my dentist about these. He pretty much said that the quicker they work the more damage they do to your teeth. They will pretty much make your teeth extremely sensitive to the cold if you use the quick ones. He didn't condone the use but suggested using one that worked over a longer period of time or getting them professionally done at a dentist.

or, you could just dip your tooth brush in hydrogen peroxide, then dip it in arm & hammer baking soda and brush.
tastes bad, but it whitens the teeth, kills germs, and kills "odors". old timers use a bit of salt for a scouring effect. but you have to be careful there...if you have thin enamel. i used to brush like that every day..i had white, healthy, non-sensitive teeth...and I have no cavities. i actually need to start doing that again..my teeth are a bit stained now. |

Eee. In general, teeth whitening is about as useless as plastic surgery. No one is supposed to have the pearly white teeth you see on TV. But, since you seem intent on getting them whiter, talk to your dentist about it. He/she will explain everything to you in detail.

After I had braces for five years I got my teeth whitened. The dentist just gave me these rubber like retainers which you put this whitening gel in and wore these while you slept. It still made your teeth tingle and caused sesitivity to cold.
