0% Credit Card To Hold Me Over After Graduation?
I will be graduating in the spring and am worried about not getting a job. Right now, I'm getting along just fine with just one credit card that doesn't carry a balance each month and a low paying on-campus part time job. After I graduate, I might not have this job, and am thinking about getting a credit card with a 3-6month 0% interest rate to hold me over.
I could probably live on my current credit card for a few months, but I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to pay the balance each month which would hurt my credit score and cost me in interest and late fees. So basically I'm wondering if getting another credit card would be smarter than just living on my current one. Obviously the best choice would be to get a good job right after graduating, but considering the current job market, I'm really not sure if that's going to happen right away. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

I would personally apply for a new credit card than have to pay my bills late. Have you looked at assessing how much you would need to survive for a short while, and then taking out a loan? The interest rates are as low as ever right now. Interesting problem though.

It sounds like a good idea, provided you pay attention and read the fine print. The cc company will try to screw you, so make sure you're not in a position to get hurt when that rate expires.
