I'm trying out that 100 push-ups program, starting at Level 3. Maybe it will keep me motivated to "do the 100" and keep that ability (which is a lot easier and less life-consuming to keep up with than marathoning).
146,006 + 46 = 146,052 |
I did 55 of the "perfect pushups" with that rotating device on a bet. 146,052+55=146,107
|
I did about 25 today while PT-ing. 146,107.00+25.00=146,132.00
|
Oh good lord, each day is harder than the last. That always sounds easier than it is.
146,132 + 56 = 146,188 |
I had forgotten about this thread :). And also haven't been doing much in terms of working out lately.
So, yesterday (35) + today (45) = 80. Total: 146,188 + 80 = 146,248. |
And 50 more: Total = 146,298. Hmm, maybe I should've done two more to end up with a nicer number, heh.
|
Oh goodness, I have a feeling I'm going to be repeating a lot of weeks in that program. I'm only on Day 3 of Week 1 and I could barely push out the minimum. I also had to go back to being on two feet and palms instead of one foot and knuckles after the first set. :(
146,298 + 63 = 146,361 |
Day 3 was tough for me too! I barely made that last 15 (but threw in 6 more after yelling at myself for missing my buddy's bike ride).
146,361 + 69 = 146,430 |
Day 1, Week 1, Square 1 again. And worse than the first time! I don't seem to be recovering from these supersets very quickly...
146,430 + 45 = 146,475 |
I did two sets of 20 with my ab workout at the track today. I know this is the opposite of "rest" but I guess I can live with having really slow progress on the 100 push-ups program since it involves pushing my limits in a way that makes me feel strong daily. Doing 100 in a row would be nice someday, too.
146,475 + 40 = 146,515 |
146,515 + 54 = 146,569
Took a bit off from the one hundred program, really paying for it now. Might have to repeat that first week for sure. |
I'm kind of a pussy (starting the challenge though)...
146,569 + 40 = 146,609 |
146,609 + 50 = 146,659
|
Me and a coworker started the 100 push up challenge this week. Today I did day 3 which is 15 13 10 10 max, and my max was 20 so I did 68.
146,659 + 68 = 146,727 |
10 + 10 + 8 + 6 + 13 (What? Today was a work day...)
146,727 + 47 = 146,774 |
Second day. 63 pushups.
146,774 + 63 = 146,837 |
So I took several days rest by accident and picked up with Week 1, Day 2 (take 2) today. I just noticed that the rest recommendation says "or longer if necessary" which I didn't understand before. I rested longer between sets and pumped out a bunch more today.
12, 12, 10, 10, 22 = 66 146,837 + 66 = 146,903 Maybe this won't be so awful after all. |
Day 3
15+13+10+10+17+4 random ones = 69 (woot) 146,903+69= 146,972 |
Man, I've been lazy this past week. Did a pushup variation for each set, so standard, pushup+side plank, and hindu pushup, just to kick my own ass.
146,972+60= 147,032 [/QUOTE] |
Week 1, Day 3 – 15, 13, 10, 10, 21 = 69
147,032 + 69 = 147,101 |
Started working out again, 60 to start, 60 to finish.
147,101 + 120 = 147,221 |
I skipped rest day since I felt up to it today. I'm sure I'll feel it tomorrow!
Week 2, Day 1 - 12, 12, 9 , 7, 23 = 63 147,221 + 63 = 147,284 |
Week 2, Day 2: 16 + 13 + 11 + 11 + 15 = 66
147,284 + 66 = 147,350 |
I'm really enjoying mixing a bunch of pushup variations into these sets, feels like I'm getting a more complete upper body workout from them. Crunches and squats between each set.
147,350 + 63 = 147,413 |
Week 2, Day 2 – 16, 13k, 11, 11k, 25 = 76
I've started keeping track of knuckle versus regular and I'm sticking with doing them on one leg so's I don't get too lazy. These were pretty painful considering I skipped the rest day between the last two workouts and cooked up all kinds of lactic acid-inducing exercises after my run yesterday. I rested for several minutes between every set (particularly before that last one) and I decided to do that as many as you can in 5s, with just a pause between them to break up the monotony. Helps to squeeze out more. 147,413 + 76 = 147,489 |
Week 2, Day 3 – 15, 15k, 12, 12k, 20 = 64
Coming down with a cold, as is typical, right before the last week on the job. Lack of sleep is getting to me. The numbers came down a bit, but I'm surprised I was even able to make it through all five sets today. 147,489 + 64 = 147,553 |
Week 2, Day 3: 15 + 15 + 12 + 12 + 4 random ones + 15 = 73
And Cow, you were a little off so I'm adjusting a bit: 147,489 + 74 = 147,563 + 73 = 147,636 |
Whoops. I guess the push-ups use up all the blood that my brain needs to do the maths. :)
I did the post-week-2 exhaustion test on Sunday and kind of wussed out, only doing 25. I decided I easily could have done one more so I went with the third tier anyway. Of course, a day of rest would have helped me get all the way through it (which I didn't). Week 3, Day 1 – 25, 17k, 17 = 59 Then today I did 20 after my run. 147,636 + 25 + 59 + 20 = 147,740 |
Wow have I been lazy. I've pretty much given up on the 100 push up thing, and just doing different variations til I can't take anymore.
25 on Saturday, 50 today. 147,740 + 25 + 50 = 147,815 |
I had worked up to 100 and then layed off for way too long. I'm back. 50 today.
=147,865 |
I did 20 today.
However, they were plyometric depth press ups, so they've gotta count for 5 each, right? :p edit: =147,885 |
+100 147,985
|
+60=148,045
|
Huh, forgot about this thread... I do 60 every time I workout, so I'll throw 60 on for today's count:
148,045 + 60 -------- 148,105 |
Quote:
Well, after breakfast, I tried to do 15 pushups, and it was butt-hard. 148,105 + measly 15 = 148,120 Now for some more of my morning's banana milkshake to refresh me from my horrible workout. |
Make that 148,220.
|
148,220 + 250 = 148,470
Hey, Ho... Let's Go! |
+ 50 = 148,520
|
+30=148,550
|
wow forgot about this thread again and it's been 2 years since I've posted. I've still being doing several hundred a week, but don't have an accurate count.
|
+80= 148,630
|
+104= 148,734
|
More
148,734 + 25 = 148,759 |
I was never good at doing pushups, but I started a "six weeks to 100 pushups" plan this week so I did 108 pushups this past week. Will add more next week.
148,759 + 108 = 148,867 |
148,867 + 45 (hindu pushups)= 148,912
|
Hindu?
|
Yea, I started doing them after watching some yoga podcasts. They're also known as "dand" press ups.

148,912 + tonight's two sets (132) = 149,044
|
I do 130 pushups (two sets) six nights a week, so you can add those on.
|
+200 last night=149,244
|
+55=149,999
|
149,999 + "29" = 150,028
|
150,028 + "29" = 150,057
|
Okay this might be cheap but I added up the ones I have done in the last few months (yes I write everything down that I do)
150,057 + 1220 = 151,277 |
151,277+5=151,282
|
151.282+200=151.482
|
+300 = 151 782
|
+300 =152 082
|
+50
153,032 |
153,032 + 132 = 153,164.
