Kick ass!!

Thanks for this. I hope that site will still be up a year and a half from now when I finish my current degree program. That's the only way I'll have time for this.

I swear, my college is blocking this site. I've tried to get on for the past week, and assumed that there was something wrong with the OCW part of MIT's site. Then it appears on Digg, and I still can't access it.

My college doesn't want me to learn

EDIT: about friggin' time. I checked it every day, and it only starts working now.

More Reference/ Tutorial sites

This is the first thing I clicked on after registering and already I have enough material to keep me busy for years. Here are a few more I already had in the favorites.
BTW: The aforementioned schools are not alone. A google search for "open courseware" will prevent you from sleeping again...ever.

(These are exactly what they sound like. Not MIT but another handy source of info when needed.)

I'm a pre transfer aero & mfe engineering student so here are my toys. Anything you can imagine in your mind to metal as fast as you can find a community college with a CAD/CAM lab. More on my other machine if anyone wants but the things head more towards the company in-service format rather than the university lecture style. They all accomplish the same for me.

Ah... Nice. Many thanks.

I'd been listening to an MIT philosophy lecture in the car, which I'd got off P2P networks. Now I know where I can get the rest. : >

If anyone is looking for a really great, rigorous introduction to COmputer Science, check out the page for 6.001 Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs. It has a link to the online version of Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs by Abelson and Sussman, which is a fantastic book.

I thoroughly enjoyed UC Berkeley Webcasts | Video and Podcasts: Fall 2007 Courses too. Yale has a similar service with good quality video, but the courses are very few.
