French Help please!
I need to write a paragraph or so in my french class today, it has to be about my thanksgiving break, and i have to use imparfait and i think passe compose, i am REALLY bad at french,so i was wondering if anyone can help me write something simple, around the knowlege of a stupid french 1 college student. EDIT: I just got out of class, and my teacher is letting us take home the paper, and "finish" it. Of course i didnt even get started. But NOW i have to write 200 words, so ill post up something and maybe someone can help me get this all translated properly without bablefish, i need to follow the rules of speaking in the past.
Something like this. I had thanksgiving in Tulsa. I drove down from Norman, with my cousin who goes to University of Oklahoma. The drive was 2 hours long. When I arrived in Tulsa, i drove to my parent’s house. I saw my Mom, Dad, and my Brother's and sister. Every thanksgiving, all my family, uncles, aunts, brother’s sisters, cousins, and nephews go to the park and play a family football game. It is always a lot of fun, and it was lots of fun this year too. After football my family went to my grandparent’s house to eat thanksgiving dinner. They live in Tulsa as well. There was lots of good food. We had turkey, corn, mash potatoes, gravy, pie, vegetables, and bread. It was a good thanksgiving. I worked at my job during the vacation. I work at a movie theater in town, it was really busy. I worked really hard, so I can have lots of money for Christmas. I got to see my old friends from high school, and spend a lot of time with my old friends. We went to the movies, and played lots of videogames. It was nice to see them again. I love breaks from school, I hope my Christmas break is as fun as my thanksgiving break. Because thanksgiving break is too short, I can’t wait for next year, thanksgiving is fun. I dont know how well this will translate, but if anyone could give me a few pointers it would be much apprechated.

Ah, good ole copy and paste!

I apprecate everyones help, but one thing you need to understand about a forigen language, is that you can just copy past from babble fish, there are lots of rules(of wich i will be graded on) that babble fish doesnt follow. Of course i know about babble fish, but it cant really help me in this situation, but i do know there are lots of french speaking people on this fourm, and they have helped me here in the past, so im calling out to you!!!!! please send me a private message or leave a responce here.

Uh. Wow. The only way you will get GOOD at something is by practicing.
I would suggest dropping the class if you're not going to make the effort to practice the language. That is the whole point of the exercise, no? TFP will not be here to help your during your final exam. Just drop the class if you're not going to do the work.

It's not perfect, but anyway:

Lol. I speak french fluently since I live in Qc. (english is actually my 2nd language) There are alot of grammatical errors in that text, but I guess its good enough for a french 1 class. I would have helped had I read this post sonner. By the way, thanksgiving in french is "action de grace".
