Take a drag, then make your mouth 'O' shaped, press the tip of your tongue against the bottom of your mouth, then slide it back and then forward. It'll kind of act like a piston and push the smoke out of your mouth. Hard to explain, you just have to spend some time and figure it out. And whatever you're smoking should have dense smoke for it to work, you can't blow smoke rings with most cheap cigars because they're too mild.

yup, you definitely need a good cigar to do it, not some vanilla flavored POS from 7-11. take a nice long drag, make your lips into an "o" shape. this is where im a little different. i like to push my tongue back in my throat to get it out of they way, and then push the smoke out of my mouth using my throat (my adams apple moving up and down) and my tongue (still rolled up and pushed way back, kind of moving up and down). ive done this successfully twice, and since then ive quit smoking cigars (long story)

I think the trick is making the O shape and gently pushing out the smoke. Lungs are too strong to do it easily. Just get some smoke in your mouth, and try different ways of letting it out.

i hate to interrupt this great discussion, but how does one go about smoking a cigard in the first place. I've done it before, but have never gotten the full effect. All i know is not to inhale, other than that, not much else :-(

Draw the smoke in,DO NOT inhale into lungs(cough up a lung),savour the cigar and exhale. Its all about the flavour, not sum quick nicotine or high

i can't do much in a breeze.

but if anyone is still working on it, you should start out on an arabian hookah. you get far more smoke that way (and it's not as hard on your throat).

Yep its a pretty nice trick to have. Now just work on blowing a big ring slowly then a small ring through it that should keep you busy for a while.


Also, another trick ( if you havnt already figured it out ) is somewhat similar and looks cool - draw the smoke in so your mouth is full then keep your lips in one position but slowly close your mouth while inhaling with your nose. The smoke should be pushed out of your mouth slowly then be drawn up into your nose, making almost a reverse waterfall of smoke. To practice this you wont even need to smoke though - just try it while breathing normally so you get the hang of it - just make sure to brush your teeth before.
