i've been playing over the past few days, it's really good. it runs pretty well at 640x480 with all settings on medium on my athlon 2600xp, with 512 ram and radeon 9600xt, and it looks pretty good too. I found the maps and puzzles repetitive after a while, but the gunfights more then make up for it.

Just finished it and other than the HL games, one of the coolest storylines in a FPS (keep in mind most FPS stories are shit). The ending is one of the best I've seen (even better than HL2).
The scenery doesnt change that much, most is thru offices and labs (my fav parts of HL1), but the enemy AI is incredible..several times I yelled "no--you didn't". Well worth the price of admission, the scares arent as much as the demo but can be creepy all the same... |

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!!
I bought this game last night, and I think its the best "story" FPS I've ever played. I've played HL and HL2, etc.. but this game drives me wild with the suspense. Its amazingly creepy, but the geek side of my appreciated the AI. The AI characters are fucking SMART. They'll run all the way around a building and bust through a window to come up behind me if I'm putting a lot of cover fire down in the front.. There was one time I was shooting at two guys, and another three guys went through a door and dived through a window to come and line up the shot on me. And remembering where a bad guy is, going back around the corner.. he might have moved and is in a better hiding spot. Only played for like 4 or 5 hours last night, but I'm fucking IMPRESSED.

Yeah, FEAR is quite good. It's the best game I've played in a long time.
