Warhammer 40,000 Players (Killer RTS Game)
I wanna know if there are any players that play Warhammer 40k on here?
This games is awesome!!! I love the whole squadron build oppose to the unit by unit building. If your into RTS's, then this is a game to play!!! My favorite guys to use are constantly Chaos Marines and Space Marines Good structure Simple to Use Easy upgrading. This is a good game, if you haven't played it, then you should definitely try it |

I use to a long time ago.
Use to have a Imperial and a Blood Angels army. Prefered Epic to 40k I did have 2 massive Eldar and Space Marine armys Have played a little Warhammer as well but did not like it as much. Could never work out what army to colect. If you like 40k theme, you should try the PC game "Dawn Of War" by Relic. Pretty cool game based on 40k. Shame you can not buy a army with a points system, instead you have to build one. |

lol, yea I meant the game Dawn of War. I haven't gotten very far in the game. I only started Mission 4 and I usually play a lot of skirmishes I love playing as Space Marines so much!!! especially when i get to toy with the Orbital Relay (I love that building!!!) I love dropping space marines in the heat of fire, makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside |

I played beta. Good for awhile, probably would have liked it more in my RTS days. None of the 4 races seemed to fit me well enough (no dark eldar, or tau). I also wish it was a point system that you could buy an army with and then have more modes and type of games to play. As it is now it just gets too old too fast for me. Which sucks, cause I'd really like to play WH: 40k if it werent so expensive. Would have loved for this game to be better.
Maybe it has gotten a lot better since beta though? Anything changed? Any expansions planed? |

I've said it elsewhere and I'll say it again...
I don't play with dice... Also, my little brother plays, spends hundreds of hard earned dollars on those things. I on the other hand play only the pure strategy of Diplomacy and Abalone, games free of the evil six sided arbiter... Anyhow, the 40K RTS is quite good, though I found the dynamics a little whack, it stalemates sometimes and without nukes and such can drag on for intolerable lengths of time... |

yea, i've had that happen to me on a LAN game once.
I usually just mass attack with fully upgraded units The strategy I use alot is that I charge into the base and then I drop 4 Dreadnoughts with the Orbital Relay. It turns out to be quite effective in destroying a base. specially since most fire immediately switchs to dreadnoughts leaving my huge military to destroy everything else |

So, the expansion pack Winter Assault is out. Anyone play it yet? I recently finished the game and loved every minute of it.
Well, except for the bizarre lockups that caused me to format my system. But don't worry, we're better now. |

I meant I recently finished DoW. Haven't played WA yet, other than skirmishing a bit on the demo - only one playable map (wtf?).
I'll undoubtedly play the WA campaign when I get over my Codename Panzers fix, or when I buy the damn thing, whichever is first. |

Low guys? I have it now as well. And also have only played the first mission. Played a few skirmishes and got my ass handed to me. The AI doesn't seem to fight the same way it did before the expansion. Gotta say I love the new Space Marine Chaplain.
